章 348: Sirens of Battle

Fang followed closely behind Akashi, his eyes darting back to Rosalia with irritation. Her face was pale, her body tense with discomfort. Fang couldn't hold back his frustration as he turned her in his arms as if she weighed like a pillow.

"What the hell was that, Rose? You attacked me!" His voice was sharp, a mix of anger and confusion lacing his words.

Rosalia's eyes pleaded with him, filled with guilt and a hint of desperation. She blinked, her silence heavy with apology. She wished she could talk but there was no way. This was the first time humans had stepped out of their land and at least she wasn't prepared for the kind of restrains that were put on her. But she would never try to kill Fang without a reason and that was evident in her eyes. Rosalia was a loyal guard to the throne but the queen was not the Alpha king.
