How powerful Lily's light-based supernatural power was, Sky Scar didn't know. However, he understood that his own power, stronger than ever before, still paled in comparison to Lily's. Because of this, she must have been aware of the changes within the room. Her room seemed unchanged from a year ago, still containing just a plain wooden bed. Sky Scar couldn't help but wonder, didn't Lily change her clothes? She didn't even have a wardrobe. Why was she making this unnecessary hardship for herself? Constantly putting others before herself, was her life truly fulfilling as she claimed?
Outside voices caught Sky Scar's attention. Lily was saying, "Larry, thank you for the flowers, I appreciate your kindness, but don't pick wild flowers anymore. They are living beings too."
"Yes, yes, Saintess, I know I was wrong." Larry's voice was visibly flustered.
Lily's voice remained gentle. "Then you should return. I've taught classes all afternoon and would like to rest a while."
