Crynn POV
I pointed at the screen and zoomed in to the center of it where a convoy of vehicles is moving across the desert. The convoy is consisted of 3 very large trucks as long as I can confidently say, maybe around 15 to 20 meters which is considerable when taken together with the width as well of about 4 meters or a bit less of that.
The trucks are carrying I'm guessing some heavy duty cargo, a lot of boxes and clothing to cover them from the sunlight, heat and rain or else. Now, besides the cargo trucks are a lot of other vehicles. 4 caravans travelled together with some armored cars, some with a jeep design and others with the sports design, when I say armored, it's not military armor but more like scrap metal pieced together which admittingly does look cool.
But what took my eye the most is the large hovering vehicle with a smaller caliber cannon and a lot of missiles with a minigun on top, never forget the minigun on top, it's like the cherry of the tank. "Looks like we found them, have you bought the scroll yet?" I looked at Calian who is also looking at the screen. "Yes, I have the scroll," he pulled it out from his inventory and it's brown, very typical ancient manuscripts which can be quite fragile.
"Why don't you keep it until we need it,. So, time to disable autopilot, we're flying manually," I saw Calian taking a breathe and move to grip the steering wheel. I disabled autopilot and moved some controls around, pressed some buttons as well. "Can you maintain a stable descend forwards at constant speed?" I asked Calian and he nodded.
Calian pushed the wheel slightly and the aerodyne began to go lower in altitude. It seems that the convoy hadn't noticed us, we got the element of surprise, I'm thinking to turn the lights on the moment we go nearer to the convoy, that will certainly shock them and instantly alert them of our presence.
"Co-pilot speaking, We're about to greet our locals, over," I said on the intercom and looked towards the camera where the small convoy eventually becomes bigger and bigger in scale ratio. "Spotlights on," I said and the light shone upon the surprised convoy as we appear behind them in a glaring fashion.
"Can we circle and overtake them in the front?" I gazed at Calian as he nodded, he turned the wheel to the left as I engage thruster power, pushing the aircraft to the left while maintaining the front cockpit facing towards the convoy. I controlled the spotlight and directed it directly towards everyone's windshield.
Everyone was forced to stop, either under the sheer intensity of light on their eyes or the aircraft directly in front and above them. Red lights flashed above us with warning sirens all around, the big screen in front of us turned blinking red as well with words appearing in huge fonts on it. "We have missile lock-on, fortunately, it's only a lock-on and so, no missiles are fired... yet," Calian said in hesitation.
"Well, we're touching down, no tension, no suspense, stay calm and collected," I advised and toggled our descent, the advise is probably not useful remembering he's a Kingsman and Kingsman are always 'Manners maketh man' and so, he'll be as cool as a gentleman on a yuletide ball which is very cool if you ask me.
I rose from my seat and prepared everything, double checking everything, all's in place, time to face the grand show! I went out the cockpit ahead of Calian while the aerodyne slowly lowered itself to the ground. "Why are the red lights flashing?" Jill asked with a serious expression, in all seriousness, the situation is quite serious, isn't it.
"The nomadic tribe just up front decided to lock their missiles on us. To be honest and truthful, I never knew they had missiles, so they've got the upper hand... for now," or maybe not but I'm not going to say that because a man has got to always be optimistic, pessimism only indicates a weak mental mind which can also be because of a weak physicality as well.
"That's not good," Aria said and well, we gotta deal with it bravely and intelligently. "So shall we?" A voice came from behind as Calian stepped out of the cockpit and immediately went to press the button which opened the doors. "We shall," Jill sighed and pumped her shotgun, she also has the new gun on her holster, pretty good eh.
The door opened as we disembarked with style, Aria having her laser pistol up, Jill ready with her shotgun, Calian with his umbrella and I with my hands down and eyes forward, we're like the four musketeers only tons better. "Are you seriously opening an umbrella in the middle of the night, not to mention there's no sun in the night and this is a desert, it rarely rains in the desert?" I questioned in an instant after Calian deployed his umbrella over his head.
"If worst comes worst and we ended up getting shot by an entire nomadic tribe, I have this umbrella to bet for it," right, I almost somehow forgot that Kingsman umbrellas are damn well bulletproof, very bulletproof. "Actually, mind me asking, how many gadgets and trinkets do you have exactly?" Aria interjected curiously.
"Kingsman watch, Kingsman ring, Kingsman umbrella, Kingsman explosive fountain pen, Kingsman explosive perfume, and any other gadgets a Kingsman would have," hmm... explosive fountain pens sound very alluring if you ask me, there's just something magnificent about fountain pens that can explode in spy movies.
I looked to my right and oof... Yes, ehm... danger is literally right next to us about meters away. The spotlight below the aerodyne is still upon them so I can clearly see many members of the tribe getting out of the vehicle, some had their pistols on their hands, some have rifles, and others have sniper rifles, dangerous, very dangerous, and did I see the tank turret aiming right at us, my eyesight hasn't failed me it seems like.
"Looks like this is a bad idea after all."
