Crynn POV
I checked my surroundings, feeling endless boredom as I decided to lift my pistol up and I sighed. Okay, I think my gun is too obsolete at this level of time. "I need a new gun," I complained to Calian sitting next to me while viewing the camera and the environment it shows. "Hmm... you definitely should, your gun is more than a century behind current times," thank you for further emphasizing it.
"I'm gonna check to see if there's any gun cabinets back there," I unstrapped the seat belt and got off, my Mle. 1950 can f*ck off for all I care, I need some better guns, like guns that actually fit this time. I walked through the sliding door and stretched my hands, legs and backs, sitting on the cockpit seat for too long can be a bit of a strain sometimes.
"What are you doing here?" Aria asked as she saw me enter. "I need a new gun," brief but ver specific answer just how I like it. "What are you doing?" I asked back as I see Jill over there polishing and wiping her shotgun and I looked back at Aria, specifically her screen which has some strange looking women on it.
"Oh I don't know, just browsing the public web to see what's up and found a very popular J-Pop band with one of the worst music I've ever heard. It's not just this world's fashion sense which is band, the musical sense has also taken a very wrong turn. I mean look at these girls, like what are they wearing, what are they doing?" Aria explained with a tinge of despair.
I can agree that the outfits the girls on the screen chose to wear is highly... orthodox, putting it lightly. I walked away towards the cabinet containing a lot of water bottles because there's some drawers I haven't opened or checked the last time. I pulled open the door and tugged the drawer to fid ooh... 4 very fancy pistols, very fancy.
The pistols like any other pistols are rectangular but also somehow very fluid as well, maybe it's the design's effect on it, basically it's like any ordinary pistol just that it looks and should also be more advanced in terms of firing, recoil, and damage, sweet, sweet damage. I opened a drawer below it where there is some attachments such as silencers and scopes, could be useful.
"Is that a pistol?" A voice suddenly rang from behind me, surprising me in the instance. I turned my head to find Jill curiously looking down towards the pistols and attachments, I did not feel her coming at all, have my senses waned since I died? "Yes it is, you want one?" I quickly hid the surprise in my eyes and asked with a calm tone.
"Sure then," she took one of the guns herself and inspected it carefully. I actually want to try this gun out, is there even a safety because I'm not seeing one on either side. Now, I'm not trying this gun in this aircraft, I'm not crazy enough to do that, but I am mad enough to open the huge sliding door to try and shoot it outside, that would be a fun try.
Next, I took a silencer and assembled it by screwing it tightly and firmly to the tip of my gun barrel. Why I put on a silencer, because I'm aware enough not to shoot a loud gun in the middle of the desert, that could potentially alert someone of us and I or we don't want that. Take in mind that I'm using a silencer not a suppressor.
(A.N : Silencer vs Suppressor. They are both basically the same thing with slight differences. Silencer as it name suggests is an accessory aiming to reduce the noise made from firing a gun. Suppressors have a different purpose, it is aimed to remove muzzle flash which is the burst of light that appears shortly after you fire a gun. But silencers still suppress muzzle flash to a degree of effectiveness below a suppressor and a suppressor silences gun noise to a degree of effectiveness below a silencer.)
I strongly pressed the button and opened the door, red lights are flashing above me which doesn't usually happen but I presume it happened because we're flying at a high altitude but I don't care! "What the hell are you doing?!" Aria screamed in shock, I looked back at her to find her gazing at me like I'm a maniac.
"I want to try and fire my new gun!" I said and focused on the gun, I raised it high, my fingers are all in their correct positions, all that's left is to hold down the trigger, and so I did. The result is... nothing. I checked the magazine, there's ammunition, so it could only be the safety, now where is the safety?
It's not on either sides, it's not even on the bottom, c'mon future people, why do you have to make it so hard for us peeps from the past. Let's see, is there any different mechanisms that could e found here. "Why are you taking so long?" Aria asked again at me, I see Jill doesn't care, so might Aria have a fear of heights or something similar?
"I can't find the safety and it needs to be off before I can fire?" I said clearly even when the wind is slight obscuring the my voice, its should still be enough to hear. "Why don't you just turn that part of the barrel then? It looks suspiciously rotatable," turn that part of the barrel? I looked and indeed found that a part of the barrel is different from the rest.
I tried to rotate it just like Aria said, and it just bloody went and worked! Ho ho ho, Aria you might be a lifesaver, not literally, hyperbolically. "Well it worked, thanks for the help," I thanked her in return just like any normal gentleman would do and finally pressed the trigger towards the endless desert from the sky.
I pulled back and a very tiny nudge sound entered my ears as the gun recoiled smoothly on my hand, hah! It worked, the recoil is good as well, I guess I'll be using this then. I heard the sound of opening doors next to me and I found Calian perplexedly looking at me, the gun and the open door.
"What are you doing, shut the door! We'll arrive in approximately a minute, get ready everyone."
