章 43: Chapter 43: Tabby

Friday. Hotel, New York City, NY.

TABBY OPENED HER HOTEL room door to stare at the Asian man who'd accompanied them on the flight. The one who hadn't said a word to anyone. Even now, she barely expected him to speak.

"Ms. Grissler, I'm agent Quentin Joon." He offered her his hand.

She took his hand though right about now she'd rather push past him and sprint out of here. "Hello, Agent Joon."

"Call me Quentin."

She stepped back to allow the man into her room. "Alright, Quentin, care to explain what the hell is going on?"

Jamie had gotten a call at just after seven summoning him for the day. When she'd asked if she was permitted to go with him she'd been told that for today it was better if she remained at the hotel. Three hours later she still had no idea what was going on, she'd sorted through her email, done as much work as she could and needed out of this place. Apparently she'd annoyed someone enough that they'd sent her a babysitter.
