Cao Tai POV
"I am Fao Maolan! I am an envoyer of Warlord Maolan! My father! I do prefer the word enforcer, however..." He says, trailing off.
"OK Enforcer Fao Maolan, what brings you to this humble servant's doorstep?" I ask, and once more, hopefully, he isn't too arrogant or what I said is about to be a big mistake... and I think it is.
"We are looking for a dragon, have you seen one?" He asks.
Oh. He's after the prophecy, or whatever, and for it to work he must fly on a dragon's back or something, yeah sorry, can't tell you, buddy. She's probably sitting 15 meters away if you wanted to know though.
"Oho! You're after that old legend! Didn't common sense tell you that dragons are extinct?! I don't know why your brother or whatever sent you here! We haven't seen one, you're wasting your time." I say, OK, I might've broken character a little but I think that's deserved, after all, he's hunting for an extinct relic... kind of.
"Honestly your clan head probably just wanted you away so he could enact some rule that you would disagree with," I continued, pretending to be thinking about his statement, but I think I made a pretty good argument. [I'm not too good at arguments, but I think this is a sound reason]
The man looks at me like I'm the smartest man he's ever seen, "Your Right! I bet that sneaky man is vying for control again!" He turned around and called out, "Men we shall return immediately! And give this man some money for his sound advice," He says, someone tosses me a gold coin, and the bird squawks to announce its departure.
That person is beyond me, why would he listen to any commoner? Maybe he thinks I have no reason to mislead him, but unfortunately for him, I have ALL THE REASONS. [Very deranged…]
Once the Bird once more did a massive boom Violet, Lantla and Sasha pop out of several large bushes. "Well it seems like someone wants you, Violet, don't you want to join him?" I ask, already knowing the answer, however, I do want to see how much she likes to stick with me.
"I would like to chat with him…" Violet starts, with a smug grin, "But I would never join him!!! I would never betray you, Mas~Ter~" She finishes, and I groan in agony, those two want to one-up each other, Lantla and Violet, at least Sasha isn't fighting as well, I think.
"Look at the time! It seems like it's almost dinner time! I'll make yo- I mean Master the best dinner!" Lantla exclaims, snapping her fingers, and several large ants pop out, searching for animals.
One stops in front of me, preparing to knock me out, I look at Lantla, slightly concerned, but before I could do that, I heard a vicious cut and Violet standing there with her blade, wiping off its blood, "I'm not nearly losing Master twice today and Lantla, and keep better control on your underlings," Violet says unhappily.
She then seathes her sword and kneels before me, "Are you OK, Master?!" She says in an overly dramatic voice, honestly everything about her is overly dramatic at the moment.
"I'm fine, so please, stop looking at me like that, and how dangerous is that ant anyways?!" I ask, I mean ants are pretty harmless when small so what if they're like 200 times larger?!
And as if on cue, three ants pop out of the bushes, both carrying a stag each and the last one was carrying a boar.
"Maybe they are good hunters..." I mutter, "But are they good fighters?" I ask.
"Yes they are, Master. Do you have any more questions or shall we start cooking?" Lantla asks tentatively.
I like how she said, 'We,' considering I'm the one who'll have to work the hardest, and I don't like her tone of voice! "Fine, but we're not using the boar, too much preparation required," I say. Getting some Kindling ready.
