"What was that about?" Brenna asked two hours later after they were done with the kids and were headed for the car. 

"What? The speech? It was beautiful, right?" Brad asked with a grin. He felt lighter now that he was sure he knew where he had to start from.

"Come on, we both know that isn't what I'm talking about. What was all that talk about sponsorship and having dinner with her for?" Brenna asked as they got into the car. 

"I was merely being my usual flirty and curious self at the same time," Brad said, choosing to keep what he was thinking to himself. The less Brenna knew about what was going on, the better for them all.

"I don't think so. I'm pretty certain there is more to it than that. Why are you still not satisfied now that you have your file?" Brenna asked, turning in her seat to look at him. 

"Your seatbelt is there for a reason. Use it," Brad said when he noticed she wasn't using it.
