章 15: The Journey (Brent's POV)

It was the best night of my life. Knowing she feels the same way I do for her was all I needed before I had to face what I set out to do. I can't wait to make her mine forever. This task I have to complete is not an easy one.

It was a near-impossible task but with Su on my mind, there was no way I could fail. She expected me to come back and she will get what she wants. She is mine.

Something didn't seem right last night, and I know I needed to talk to her, but I had already begun my journey to my father.

Cell phone service was non-existent, which sucked because neither of us knew we wouldn't be able to communicate.

Everything happened so fast, and I didn't have enough time to really talk to her. I felt terrible. What if she thinks I was just trying to use her? What if she moves on? I hope this all goes as well as I need it to.

Going to see my father was something I dreaded. My dad was ready to pass on his throne to me.
