In front of me, among the broken-down buildings, was a road that seemed to be in surprisingly good condition.
The road was lit up by flickering streetlights. Some of the streetlights seemed to be emitting a soft, pulsing golden glow. The glow was subtle, yet it was definitely noticeable.
The way to clear this dungeon is unique compared to other dungeons, in that it requires players to complete a set of trials instead of simply killing the boss monster.
"But for my current situation, This is the best possible outcome."
I began to walk down the road following the pulsing golden streetlights which would lead me to the first trial of the dungeon.
After walking down the road for about seven minutes I could see a pedestal in the middle of the road, on top of it was a a small, intricately carved lantern with flames that were changing between white and gold lit inside.
Examining it closely I found a small, hidden compartment on the bottom of it.
I opened the compartment of it without lifting it off its pedestal, It contained a cryptic message.
The message read "Seek the heart of the city in the gardens of forgotten."
Taking a deep breath I looked directly at the lantern.
'This is it... my first step to secure my future in this world.'
Glancing at the lantern in front of me, I raise my hand and slowly clenched the bail.
(A/n: The handle of a lantern, formed in a semicircular shape is called bail.)
As soon as I lifted it from the pedestal I felt as though I was being burnt alive. I clenched my teeth and started running towards the alley to the left of me.
Each passing second felt like an eternity, even so i steeled my resolve and kept running until I encountered a wall.
I lifted the lantern in my hand and threw it at the wall, instantly the wall crumbled as though it was never there.
I picked up the lantern once again and kept running until i encountered a crossroad splitting into two paths, I ran down the left one without a second thought.
At the end of the path was a door. I pushed it open and ran inside.
All of a sudden my surroundings changed I wasn't in the alley anymore, in front of me was a vibrant garden full of various flowers with a statue of a phoenix in the middle and a stone path leading to it.
I rushed over to the statue and placed the lantern near the leg of the phoenix.
The lantern glowed briefly before vanishing , the golden flame inside of the lantern floated up and split into two halves before one flew over to the open beak of the phoenix.
The phoenix statue became completely engulfed in the golden fire,it slowly lost its shape as the statue turned into a sword Behind the sword a portal started forming.
At the same time the other half of the flame flew into my chest just as it entered my chest i felt a searing pain as though a hot metal rod was being pressed on my chest.
"Aaaaahhhhhh."
My knees buckled under the pain as I fell to the ground screaming in pain.
After what felt like forever the pain finally went away and as I got up a mechanical sound rang in my head, and a blue window appeared.

----------------------------------------------
Special stats were special indeed. The power you learned, when combined with stats, resulted in tremendous efficiency.
That power differed from the usual ones.
Eternity, Crimson, Faith, Source, Force, Starlight… even I, a seasoned veteran of the game, didn't know all the types that were in the game.

I attempted to use Radiance like i had used mana before but the result was a failure.
"Fuuuh...."
I sighed deeply. I had expected this to happen as in the game the player could only use radiance after completing the second trial and receiving the second fragment but I hoped reality would be different.
But just a moment after my disappointment disappeared looking at the screen that popped up.
------------------------------------------------------
[Child of Swords(S)] is looking at [Special Stat: Radiance(1/2)].
[Child of Swords(S)] deems it unfit.
[Child of Swords(S)] is altering [Special Stat: Radiance(1/2)].
[Special Stat: Radiance(1/2)] can now be channeled through a sword as a medium.
------------------------------------------------------
"ah...hahahaha."
I couldn't control my excitement and started laughing uncontrollably.
I didn't know what to say, I had been playing this game for years and yet such a thing had never happened before.
It was ridiculous.
A talent causing a special stat to change, this was the first time i had seen this happen.
Among the playable characters they had various talents like [Sword Genius],[Blade King] but this was the first time a talent reacted like this.
There was only one possibility.
"A Hidden Piece."
A hidden peace formed between the talent [Child of Swords(S)] and [Special Stat: Radiance].
Thinking about it the corner of my lips couldn't help but curl up.
**************************************************************************************
I stood up and headed towards where the sword and portal were.
The sword shined with a faint, luminescent flame. Its blade is a dull, orange-yellow color, and it lacks the intricate carvings and ornate design. Its guard is simply a plain, rounded shape, and its hilt is rough and unfinished.
I looked at the sword and felt as though it was calling me.
I went forward and lifted the sword up, the blade felt just right in my hands.

The moment I held the sword, a refreshing sensation spread through my body. My body, which I felt as though it was still burning, cooled down.
My body felt invigorated, as though I had just woken up from a nice, long sleep.
I turned and looked at the sword in my hand. I used [View(-)] on it

[Fulminulus(D)]
A weaker version of a forgotten sword.
It is imbued with a small essence of the luminous flame.
-[Resonance]: Radiance is amplified.
-[Judgement]: Deals more damage to corrupted beings.
-(Temporary)[Chosen]:Only this sword can be used in the dungeon.
-----------------------------------------------
It was a decent sword nothing too great but this was the only weapon that could be used in this dungeon due to the [Chosen] enchantment.
I clenched my hand around the handle of the sword as I looked at the portal in front of me.
Nervousness surged through me, this would be the first time I actually took part in combat.
With determination, I walked forward and stepped through the ominously swirling portal.
'[Labyrinth of Reflections] here I come.'
