章 67: Stephen Chou
Lexi only slept after playing with Carl over a video call. Now she faces another day. She is about the pick up her bag when her phone rings. Anna is calling this early. She can't really wait hear her explanation about the engagement.. about Alexander.
"Hey Anna! I am on my way to work. I will drop by later. Let's have coffee with Lei?" She made her voice cheerful so that she will not hear the fear and sadness in her eyes.
"You are happy. Is it because you are an instant rich woman?" A chilling male voice cones to her ears.
"Who is this? Where is Ana?" Lexi can feel the panic in her veins.
"You don't remember me? Ow! That really hurts just like when you hit me with a chair!"

"Surprise little queen of the Lu Company. I really love to see you but you are living in a location that is heavily guarded...soooo... I just visited your friend and invite her for breakfast." She can here a soft laughs coming from his mouth.
"What did you do to Anna?!" Lexi grits her teeth.
"She is fine. Sleeping. Though if you will not give me 5 million she might not wake up. Let's just say that it is your payment for my hospital bill when you hit my back" She ncan her mocking on his voice.
"I don't have that money." Lexi is mentally calculating. With her savings and Carl's more or less she has 2 million. Where will she get the remaining amount.
"Meet me at Anna's apartment in an hour." then the line went dead.
Lexi is frantic. She seriously don't have 5 million. Then she remembered her black card. Can she do cash withdrawal? She wonders.
She grabs her bag and runs to the front door.
"May, let's go to the bank now!" May obeys and opens the door of SUV.
She wants to cry. Why is these horrible things happening to her?
