章 17: Grand Hall
In front of the full-length mirror, she is too mesmerized. Well... sure, she is pretty and she knows that but this is a totally whole new level of being stunning and gorgeous. She can easily pass as an elite. She looks tall and her body shape can be seen in any movement she does.
She smiled. After all of this, they will look for someone that looks like her in the mirror. Far from who she really is. She feels a little safe.
Kay is all smiles. "Ms.Min, you look stunning!" Then Lexi's phone rings.
"Hey baby! Are you ready? Sorry I had to fix some last minute issues. I'll see you in the lobby? I'm on my way." He sounds a little tired. "Sure! I'll see you then. Drive safely!"
The anniversary party is just in the grand hall of the hotel, same level as the lobby. Lexi and Kay are in the elevator when her phone pings, "I'm here. Can't wait to see you. I'm in gray. - Your Date."
He was standing almost in the middle of the lobby. He stands at 6'3" and his built for a model. Even when he stands casually, it is like he is posing for a picture. He looked like a piece of art and she will surely bid her life jus to get him. Lexi walks slowly in his direction. Not seeing that she is literally stopping people in their tracks and gasping at her sight.
When Alexander turns in her direction, he seems like he was frozen. He was just looking at her. She can't read his emotions. Is he surprised? Is he happy? Is there something wrong?
Lexi is now in front of Alexander. Alexander winks twice. "You are breathtaking." He whispers.
She chuckles and hooks her arm to his arm. "And you are gorgeous yourself." And looks up to his eyes longingly. He bends his head and kisses her lips. All employees of The Phoenix Hotel almost died of disbelief. Alexander Lu has a heart. News Flash!
Lexi sees a man walking fast towards them and whispers something to Alexander. He nods and says sternly, "No media".
As they enter the Grand Hall, it is indeed keeping up to its name, Grand. There are many people walking, talking, clinking glasses. As Lexi is observing, she didn't notice that the majority of the people in the Hall is also eyeing her. She spots the most popular actors and actresses. She can see politicians and artists.
"Let's get something to drink then I will just talk to someone and we will go back to our room." Alexander suggestively caresses her bareback. "Stay here, don't cheat on me." then winks.
She was just left smiling stupidly. She found an empty standee table and place her Chanel purse on that of it. "Is that a Versace? That belongs to the latest collection of Donatella. A tribute to her brother." A very slender woman suddenly appears in front of her. Does she need to know her? She looks like she is well known. "Dale, honey come over." Then a good looking man in a black suit with a just messy hair is now standing beside the slender woman. "Ow. I am Penny Mu and this is my nephew Brian Mu."
"Nice to meet you". Brian extends his arm to Lexi. She accepts it and smiles. "Same here."
Penny clears her throat and asks Lexi, "Are you a friend of Al.."
"Penny, you are here. Good evening." Alexander is behind Lexi holding two glasses of champagne. He nods to Brian. Penny seems like she saw a ghost and went pale. "I was just asking her if.."
"She is a good friend of mine and we are busy." Alexander guided her out of the table and whispers. "Didn't I tell you not to cheat on me?"
She whispers back. "How can I cheat on my GOOD FRIEND?" Alexander chuckles.
Mario is walking to their direction and smiling. He has to remind himself that he is here as a friend not a secretary and he is not Mario.
"Eeerrr, nice to meet you Ms. Min. I am a his friend." and pointed to Alexander. This is the most awkward way of introducing one's self. "Hi! Nice to meet a friend of Mario". Alexander sips his drink and looked at the other way smiling.
"We will not stay long. We will go back to our room." Alexander was looking straight to his friend. "What is your name?" Lexi asks. "I mean you obviously know my name". Mario is about to answer when the host started talking.
Alexander grabs her arm and walks to the exit. "We need to go back, I am not comfortable with all these people. The host happily announced, "Let's all welcome President Alexander Lu."
Lexi and Alexander are now at the exit when Lexi heard the name and she stops Alexander. "Can we go back? I want to see Alexander Lu. I haven't seen him, I mean the majority of the population haven't seen his face yet. They said that he is not appealing. That's the reason he doesn't have a girlfriend but has a lot of flings. They also said that he really likes supermodels, because of you know." Then gesture an hourglass.
"Nothing to see and Alexander has a girlfriend....And no! He doesn't like supermodels. And if he sees me I can't leave the night. Do you like that?" Alexander teases her.
Lexi tugs his arm. "Let's go then. The hell with Alexander Lu. I want you."
