章 23: Black Card
Kay almost fainted when she saw Lexi and Alexander exiting the President's office. So the problem didn't stop when Ms.Min insisted in bringing lunch in Mr. Lu's office. They are trustworthy alright but the office drama is still exists. She will be bombarded with questions on their groupchat. Just when Mr. Min enters the office, she has been harrased by the secretaries asking if they are engaged, living together, are they going to be married soon? Who is the future lady boss. All she says is "If you want to keep your jobs, shut up."
Alexander is holding Lexi's hand and Lexi is laughing while she tells stories about her dance lesson. Alexander abruptly stops and looks around sternly. "Stop gaping at us and go back to work!" Everyone jumps and even Kay who is mot really doing anythong suddenly finds a pile of documents and browse through them.
"Hey! Don't treat employees like that. You can always say things in a better way." Then Lexi looks at his eyes as if saying to take back what he said and apologize.
"Alright! I am tired for the past few days. Just continue what you are doing." Then tugs her hand to the elevator. "Thank you all! See you all next time!" Lexi waves at everyone. Kay is struck dumb. Others are still gaping at the closed elevator door. Did they just hear some kind of apology? Alexander doesn't apologize in anything he says or do.
Alexander is kissing Lexi inside the elevator when she pushes him. "What if someone will.." He laughs. " No one will dare to use this elevator."
Lexi circles her arms to his waist and pull him closer. "But we dare." menacingly smiles and tiptoes and kisses him.
Everyone is looking but Lexi is non chalantly swinging her hands while being held by Alexander's. Alexander on the other hand is tense and keeps on shooting warning glances into everyone.
Lexi laughs. "Hey don't be like that. They are just curious. They will forget soon enough." A fang of fear and sadness slices through her. Why does she feel this way. "Stop that!" Alexander glares at him. She laughs at him again. "Alright! Alright! I will just go shopping. I need to buy new dresses." Then winks.
Alexander hands her a card. It is a shiny black card that only a girl can dream of. It has her name on it. "This is mine? I can use it?"Lexi's smile can be seen from miles.
"Of course baby. I am working hard haven't I? That's one of the perks." Lexi tiptoes again and kisses him to everyone's amazement.
She silently sits while Kay is driving to the most exclusive mall on the city, as per instructions of the President of course. Lexi is not comfortable with the situation and how she feels. She knows how distructive this feeling is. She saw her mother running around like a crazy dog for her father who just in the end abandoned them.
Her situation will be the same. This is just for 4 weeks. Is she letting go to much? Is she falling in love with a rich man that can give her anything that she wants? Is she falling in love with his wealth? Is she that materialistic? She can't possibly be falling to him?! It is just a matter of days and they did not do much aside from having sex! Is she a normal girl attaching her self because of sex? Oh No! "Get a grip Lexi! You know the situation even before you entered this agreement."
She tries dresses in Chanel and got one. She buys it with her own card while Kay is looking at her puzzled why she used her card.
She entered Gucci and asks Kay to get her a milk tea. When Kay left, she quickly grabs the nearest cheapest dress, changed into it, buys it and dashes off the store. She needs some alone time.
