章 55: THEY TAKE AMARANTA SHOPPING

Pessaries. Then he chose those who he thought would look good on Amaranta. She never believed that she would do that kind of thing for a girl.

The sales assistant who stopped Amaranta earlier was full of regret.

If he had known that the young woman looked like a maid, he had such a rich boyfriend, he would have been kind to her. She may not even be able to keep her job now…

— "The total is 2,683 euros!" — Izan had a good memory, and her ability to do mental calculations was even more impressive. The silly sales assistant next door couldn't help but comment: "The total is now 2,550 euros. The dress the young lady is wearing has already been paid for."

"Young Marsans, I can't take your money. Please pick up your card. If I take your money, she might be fired."

— Manager Díaz's forehead was sweating. The other workers can't bear to look at the condescending expression on his face.

"I can still pay this small sum."

— Izan Marsans looked at the sales assistant previously, that she wanted to disappear at that moment. — "Your salespeople here really don't know what service means."

— No. Manager Diaz's legs felt like jelly, and he almost fell to the ground. How had he managed to offend this man? If his superiors found out that young Marsans had given such a comment after buying things here, everyone in the mall would be in trouble.

— "Yes, young Marsans. You are right. I will do something about it."

Amaranta put on a pair of flat white leather sneakers and Izan put a diamond hairpin in her hair. He was also holding a chain shoulder bag in his hand. Her character had immediately changed from a country girl to an elegant young woman.

"Pack these things and send them to the presidential suite upstairs."

"Yes, young Marsans!"

— Then, Izan took Amaranta to the hotel's Chinese restaurant. Not long after the two left, Manager Diaz looked at everyone present with a serious expression. He was so angry that even his fingers were shaking.

"Who was it that had offended young Captain Marsans earlier? Go to the finance department and get your severance pay. A small shop like mine can't afford to hire someone like you."

— With that, manager Díaz washed his hands of the matter and walked away. The saleswoman didn't know what to say. She had been fired! She had been laid off, and now she was out of work.

— Izan and Amaranta entered a restaurant. The two sat at a table near the window.

The restaurant was very quiet. Apart from a few servers, there were no other people.

"Amaranta, I'm celebrating your birthday with you in advance."

— The two had just sat down when the restaurant staff arrived with a cake.

Amaranta's eyes bulged. He was very happy.- "Thank you, Izan."

— "Make a wish!" — Izan lit the candle.

The small candle was glued on top of a layer of cream. His flame could not compare to the brilliance of the sun.

— The small light of the candle had created the atmosphere for the occasion: solemn and sweet. It was like a ray of light that illuminated his dark life. Amaranta closed her eyes and silently made her wish.

**His first wish was for his grandmother to stay healthy and live a long life, he did not want to lose her as soon as what happened to her in her past life, he had to live longer, until she was a great strong and outstanding woman, who could give him everything grandma deserved.

** Her second wish was that Izan Marsans did well at work, and she didn't get hurt again. She couldn't understand why, but she didn't want to see him hurt and knowing that he needed her blood, and he wasn't at her side to give it to her, that killed her with anguish.

**And for her third wish, she wished that her mother was still alive and that she found some connection with her biological father.

— Amaranta. She blew out the candle and opened her eyes. She saw Izan who was sitting in front of her. He looked at her with a smile that reached her eyes. She stretched out a finger and dug some white cream into the cake. Then, he smeared it on the tip of Izan's nose. The smudge of cream lingered on Izan's nose, adding a touch of warmth to her beautiful but stoic face.

— Izan didn't get angry. He treated Amaranta like her younger sister. He adored her however he wanted. Naturally, he wouldn't get angry over something so small. — "Have a cake."

— She couldn't describe how she felt at this moment, however, one thing was certain, she appreciated everything Izan Marsans had done for her.

At that very moment, everything was just a blur. This man was the only constant in Amaranta's world. Amaranta's ears turned slightly red. She picked up her teacup and took a small sip of the buckwheat tea.

A bitter taste filled her mouth, and a touch of bitterness grew in her heart.

"Izan, have you been busy recently?"

—"A little," she replied. "We had to sign a confidentiality agreement.

Oh, right. "Do you get along well with your new assistant?"

— Amaranta nodded. "Eleonora is great. If she hadn't woken me up that night, Grandma and I could have died in the fire. Izan, I don't understand. Why does Mariana hate me so much? Is it because she lost the bet?" "

— "Amaranta, don't bother with her. You will always find things and actions that do not always have a reasonable explanation, they simply cannot be explained or understood, do not hold on to that in your mind, and you will fill your heart with hatred."

Izan Marsans' words were always very philosophical.

Actually, he was very right.

— You never knew how ruthless people could be. No one could anticipate when a person, no matter how well treated, might stab a friend, family member, or any passer-by in the back. The only thing a person could do was ensure the awareness that he lived peacefully.

— "Izan remember that Mariana and I got along very well when we were children, but everything changed when we started school…"

"People change," Izan replied softly. "Amaranta, there is no one in this world who stays as they are. No one."

"That's true. Aunt Carmen wanted me to leave Mariana alone. I couldn't do that. Whatever Mariana's punishment will be, it will be decided by the law. I think only then will she learn from this incident. At least, she will know that There are consequences of your actions."

Izan Marsans disagreed. Amaranta could be naive at times.- "Amaranta, you have to know this. Being too kind can lead to abuse. People prefer to take than to give, you can't always be that kind, but I understand that sometimes it is necessary."

—"Izan Marsans, am I kind?" Amaranta asked. However, she reflected that if she had not met Izan Marsans, she would still have that hatred and desire for revenge stuck in her heart.

If she had not met Izan that night, she could find herself turning into a girl full of hatred. It was because he was a good teacher and friend to her…

— Yes, just a good friend…
