章 77: The Emergency

Outside the conference room, Jace was too impatient to listen to the explanation Grace was trying to make. The only thing he heard from her hurried speech was that there had been an emergency that required her to go to the hospital, so he ended up assuming that something had happened to her.

"Where is Charles?"

Charles is with me in the car and I've asked the driver to take him home so that I'll take a cab to the hospital. I only called to ask for your permission.

"Which hospital is that?" Jace asked

After getting the name of the hospital from Grace, Jace directly said, Take him along with you. I will meet you at the hospital in a few minutes."

The driver: "…"

Grace: "Huh?"

"But sir, I don't think…"

Before Grace could express her concern over taking Charles along, the call had already been ended and Grace stared at her phone, speechless.
