Rufus glared back unflinchingly. "Do I need to remind you that I am her ex?"
"An ex who can't move on and still trails after her like an abandoned toy? Grace has moved on, stop monitoring her life. Because she no longer has any impression about losers like you. As far as she is concerned, you don't even exist."
"Moved on with who? You?" Rufus's nose turned up in disgust.
"Initially I thought you were something worth stressing about, but I later realized you don't even hold a candle to the men she is interested in. Wake up, dude, you are just a toy in her hand."
This time around, Roy could not find a fitting retort as he felt what Rufus said was true.
From what Faye had told him about the caliber of men at Grace's birthday party, he doubted if he stood any chance with her.
