章 404: What Could She Even Say?

The ceremony was short and simple but Sylvie was still shocked when the officiant said "you may now kiss the bride" and Drake actually did. She shouldn't have been. He was the one who said he wanted her to act like his real wife. But it was because she had kissed Jared just yesterday on her way out the door. That seemed like a lifetime ago now. 

One of the staff took some pictures and her smiles were definitely fake but didn't look it because she was used to faking smiles. That was just how her smile looked after the life she had lived. 

That was somewhat of a relief. If she was good at faking smiles, she would be able to smile at Drake easily enough. Even if he was kind of scary. 

He held her hand on the way out and took her straight to a hotel where he had apparently booked the honeymoon suite. The atmosphere was very romantic and there were chocolate strawberries and a bottle of champagne set out.
