"Hoho… It was just a misunderstanding, a big misunderstanding! Look, it's so late! Go home and sleep tight…" Su Xiaomo chuckled awkwardly, but He Jiayu didn't seem to hear her at all, and only kept moving closer.

Su Xiaomo tripped, lost her balance, and fell backward.

A pair of big hands stopped her from falling and pulled her right into a pair of arms.

Su Xiaomo's face was pressed to a warm chest. Listening to He Jiayu's pounding heart, she couldn't help but blush.

"Hey… what are you doing…"

He Jiayu said in a serious tone, "Su Xiaomo! Look at me!"

Look at him?

Su Xiaomo looked up and blinked at He Jiayu. He wasn't smiling like usual, but looked rather grim.

"You can't take your safety so lightly! Why do you pretend to be this tough girl when you can't take care of yourself at all?" He Jiayu scolded her, which upset Su Xiaomo. "I told you it was just a misunderstanding! And they caught that burglar from last time, didn't they?"
