Mr. Xiao, the manager of the brokerage firm, was a forty-plus-year-old honest-looking middle-aged man.

He politely guided Tang Meng, Ling Yun, and Yao Rou into his own office to have their seats, before summoning his most capable broker agent to the room.

After exchanging formal greetings with each other, Tang Meng went straight to his main point. He asserted, "Uncle Xiao, this is my buddy, Ling Yun. We are closer to each other than biological brothers. He wants to open an account here at your firm so could we maybe see what sort of good deal you have going on here?"

Tang Meng made sure his stand was obvious. By emphasizing Ling Yun to be closer to him than biological brothers, he was signaling for Mr. Xiao to come up with a better-than-decent offer.

Mr. Xiao, along with his agents, glanced at Ling Yun professionally.
