For this battle, the enemy had deployed eighteen floating ships and five hundred sky-skis. Other than the three fastest ships, The-O decimated every fleet, including those trying to fight back and those trying to flee. To the fright of many, The-O only used ten to twenty minutes to finish off the enemies.
This display of overwhelming power put an end to thoughts of doubt and resistance against the Archmage. More victories followed this one. The battle was going so smoothly, it no longer mattered if The-O was being controlled by the Archmage or set to 'Auto-Battle'.
[1] Personally, this is pretty, well, disappointing…? For an elite group well-versed in the history of civilizations, as well as possessing the resources and means to do so, the Walkers aren’t even gonna use their big brain to come up with better ways than this? I mean, you’re sending in people you deemed as expendables into a new, untamed world so that they could laboriously make it more suitable not for themselves, but *the people of Isythre*! Then these people are set as second-class citizens at best, and slave tribe (not unlike the caste system) at worst. And Lear, one of the big man of this tribe, will indignantly defend being enslaved and shuns being seen as equal as other citizens in the future. Urgh. I would smack my face as much as I could if it weren’t for fear of catching Covid-19, man. [2] Oh boy, oh, boy! I want that! It’ll be so funny to see Sadako *really* crawls out of the TV when we watch The Ring!!! And then… Oh, I don’t know who else to bring into the real world. It always sounds like an instinctively good idea, until I really think about it, and the consequences become less favorable and more problematic than I would allow... [3] …Okay. I never thought of my freedom is above all other virtues and ethics and values (“responsibility” is my number one, actually. Thank Spider-Man), but I particularly loath extremely paternalistic authorities (divine or otherwise) like this one. Isn’t it funny despite removing religions (because it’s supposedly “authoritarian”), his governing method is essentially analogous? Hey, man. I think I’m gonna sit your world out, Baiyi.
