This book has some of the absolute worst fight scenes ever written. Feel free to spend couns if you enjoy reading numerous conversations and strings of thought from side characters between each and every attack. This book might as well have turn-based action.
This is an original story that should have its own label and franchise; only problem is the translations are not consistent and needs some polish. That said, in 5 years it should be a legacy on par with Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear series or Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball Z. The plot often gets skewed over the course of the adventure and switching viewpoint onto different characters; making a transition notification in the book/anime would fix that. It is a unique/interesting power dynamic that isn’t seen or done outside of Chinese/eastern philosophies. This adventure story is a gem and NEEDS to get published in various languages, become more mainstream and a household name.
This is a story that I have read off and on for many years. I always find it interesting to come back to. I believe I originally started it with about 1200 chapters. It was one of my earliest webnovels I ever started: along with my vampire system, Supreme Magnus, monster integration, and some less known ones with terrible writing. I loved seeing how his perception of the world changed as he got older.
versatile mage is my fav novel after Supreme magus. Honestly, if i think about my preferences separately, i should've never read it l, but I'm glad that i did it. I feel an amazing connection with this one and other two douluo dalu and tales of demons and gods.
Amazing, Splendid, Fabulous, Magnificent. All in all it worth your time and point
With 3000+ chapters this book will keep you enthralled for weeks! The manga and anime don't do show just how incredible the writing is.

I have read every single chapter before writing this review. There are problems with the writing in this novel, but I enjoyed the story and the characters. Overall, l enjoyed the entire read, but I am a little unsatisfied with how it was completed. I feel like there could have been a little more story to give us a better end to the novel. Would recommend to those who enjoy the isekai/op main character vibe

Originally read this novel through 3k+ chapters of mtl several years back and although rough really enjoyed it. Now that more has been translated over rereading it has been a joy and good time filler. Would recommend it’s a long one but definitely worth the read.
It is my dream to enter this type of world😭😭❤️❤️Plz give me also a magic pendant😭😭😭😂😂. I am tired of this education
There are not enough words to describe how great this book is. So I'll just say this: it's spectacular. There's action, drama, romance, character development the whole shebang. Once you read this book, you can't put it down.

One of my favorite magic genre novels. The World building was great and I loved the explanation of the magic system in the novel. The only thing i did not like was the ending, which according to me could have been a bit more well thought than an open ending. Also I would have loved if the MC added at least one more member from his academy as his wife though this is my preference as a harem lover.

One of the best novels out there easily, no time wasted with brain dead harem, most side characters are charismatic and interesting, world build is entertaining with the idea of a world like ours but if magic took the place of science since the beginning, no mercy even with characters close enough to be considered MC friends but not too harsh against the closest ones, epic fights, good development with a good pace between peaceful times and dreadful ones. There's some problems here and there, like grammar mistakes or jokes with a bit of prejudice, but overall (until ch 1300 where I'm) no big flaws at all, I highly recommend it to anyone that like novels, also it a fresh air for people that want a pause from spiritual cultivation novels, besides the meditation and resources to progress everything else happens different, so even better in that case.
I can only say that Chaos made a work of art with this novel. I don't want to move on to raws, as impatient as I am, because I want to finish this magnificent and perfect adventure here.
