"Argh…"
As if rejecting a foreign substance, Grimm's sorcerer's barrier came under the simultaneous barrage of two very different energies, the ice flames and the Darkness Pool. The protection offered by the book, Vulkshy's Infernal Curse, had been lost.
Was it because he did not have the blood of an Acraepoid flowing in him, as well as the lack of infernal energy in him?
Grimm could sense that the Darkness Pool was trying to crush him since he did not possess the corresponding infernal energy. On the other hand, the ice flame was trying to seal him completely due to his foreign origins.
Grimm, now howling in pain, could only feel that he was being crushed by huge hands from all directions as if they were trying to roll him into a dough.
On the ancient throne on top of the altar in front of him, what sat on top of it within the sealed ice looked more like a towering mountain instead of an Acraepoid!
