(POV: Caspian)
Caspian sat beside the lifeless goblin.
"Now what?," Caspian asked.
{Sacrifice their memories,} Bloodmoon said.
Caspian frowned. "Sacrifice their memories?"
"Do it," the sword urged.
Caspian focused on the goblins around him.
As if responding to his intent.

"Alright, I sacrificed their memories. Now what?" Caspian asked.
{Now, place your hand on their body,}Bloodmoon instructed.
Caspian hesitated but obeyed, placing a trembling hand on the nearest goblin's cold, lifeless form.
{Close your eyes and concentrate,} the sword continued.
Caspian did as he was told, shutting his eyes tightly and focusing.
"What are you seeing?" Bloodmoon asked after a moment.
Caspian's brow furrowed, his lips curling into a frustrated scowl.
"Hey, you said to close my eyes! How the hell am I supposed to see anything?"
Bloodmoon chuckled faintly in his mind.
{Not with your eyes, fool. With your mind. Feel it.}
Caspian grumbled but tried again, this time shifting his focus inward.
Slowly, he felt something—like a faint warmth radiating from the goblin's body.
The warmth wasn't just a sensation; it was a pulse, a rhythm that matched his own heartbeat.
{Good. Now follow that pulse,} Bloodmoon encouraged.
Caspian furrowed his brow, mentally reaching toward the pulse.
As he did, he felt a strange connection form between himself and the goblin's body, as if a thread of energy linked them.
The pulse grew stronger, and suddenly, he felt a rush—a wave of energy surging from the goblin into his hand, then coursing through his arm and into his core.
The sensation was overwhelming, like molten fire and icy water flowing simultaneously through his veins.
{Don't let go,} Bloodmoon said. {Let it finish.}
Caspian grit his teeth, his body trembling as the wave of energy settled in his core.
{Now open your eyes,} Bloodmoon commanded.
Caspian obeyed, and his breath hitched.
The one of the goblin body was gone.
Not a trace of it remained—not even blood or bones.
Instead, he felt… something.
A presence, faint but distinct, lingering within him.
"What just happened?" Caspian asked, his voice shaky.
{You've processed it,} Bloodmoon replied simply.
Caspian stared at his trembling hand, his mind racing with questions.
The faint presence within him pulsed softly, almost like a heartbeat, but it wasn't his own.
He looked at Bloodmoon, his voice unsteady yet demanding.
"What did I just process?"
{Child, listen carefully. What I am about to explain is something few beings in existence understand. It concerns the nature of life, death, and the fundamental connection all living things share with the cosmos.}
Caspian narrowed his eyes, bracing himself.
Bloodmoon had a way of making everything sound both ominous and important, but this time, he sensed the weight behind its words.
{In this world,} Bloodmoon began.
{Every living being, from the smallest insect to the mightiest dragon, is tied to a massive, unseen network. This network is called the World Core. It governs the flow of life, magic, and even death within this plane of existence.}
"The World Core? You mean like the source of all life here?" Caspian asked.
{Precisely. Think of it as the heart of this world. Every creature's essence—its memories, energy, and life force—is connected to this core from the moment it is born. This connection sustains them, granting them their vitality, their magic, and their place within the balance of nature.}
'I know you told about this earlier,' Caspian said.
{No,.this is different Listen carefully —Real game start here,}
{When, this connection(Core connection) is severed at the moment of death. When a creature dies, its bond to the World Core is cut, leaving its essence adrift. But this disconnection is not the end. The Universe Core—an even greater cosmic force—acts as a collector of all unclaimed essences. Within thirty minutes of death, the Universe Core pulls these essences into its vast expanse, where they are repurposed, reincarnated, or dissolved into pure energy.}
Caspian's eyes widened.
"So… when something dies, it's like it gets handed over to a higher power?"
{Correct. The World Core releases the essence, and the Universe Core takes it in. But what you've done… what we've done… interrupts this natural flow.}
Bloodmoon's voice grew more deliberate.
{You, Caspian, are unlike anyone else in this world. Your core is not tied to the World Core. It is independent, self-contained, and entirely your own. As I told you earlier.}
"Hmm,"
{That's it's —Your core is the foundation of your being. While others draw their strength and magic from the World Core, you operate on a completely separate system. This independence is why you could do what you just did. When you sacrificed the memories of those goblins, you severed their link to the Universe Core before it could claim them. And then, with my guidance, you connected their essence to your core instead.}
Caspian's breath caught.
"I… I connected them to me?"
