Late at night, the streets were desolate, a time that should have been filled with sweet dreams. Yet, Laurent wandered on the road, wide awake.

What kind of feeling is this?

However, she didn't feel sad or lonely. Instead, she felt like she had been reborn.

Because in her eyes, the endless darkness in her life was about to be lifted, and dawn was just around the corner.

A prestigious neighborhood.

The name of the community alone suggested it was a high-end school district property, and indeed it was. Surrounding this neighborhood were famous schools, from elementary to university, with the only exception being the high school, which was located in another district two streets away.

A school district property, meant for children, but in reality, Dave didn't love her or their child. Dave owned many properties, and Laurent didn't understand why he had chosen this apartment as their marital home.
