章 32: Chapter -32 Godfather of the Azkaban.

Chapter -32.

Over a thousand spooky Dementors were floating around the island, and right in the middle of them was a fancy palanquin made of blue flames, gliding through the air like it owned the place.

Inside that palanquin, there was a cool throne, also made of those mesmerizing flames.

And guess who was sitting there? Lester, looking pretty proud of himself, with Carson and a couple of others hanging out behind him.

Thanks to Lester's big plan, all those Dementors were now totally on his side.

He was leading his new army back to his so-called fortress of fear, Azkaban Prison!

Even though the Dementors mostly floated around, they could still move pretty fast.

In just about ten minutes, Lester spotted the tall walls of Azkaban Prison in the distance.

Inside those walls was a big, empty dirt area where prisoners could come out once a week if they were lucky.

In the wizarding world, land is practically worthless, and since Azkaban was a lonely little island with just the prison on it,

The place took up a huge amount of space. That dirt area was as big as four basketball courts!

Lester gracefully stepped down from his fiery throne and waved his hand, signaling the Dementors to hang tight at the edge of the empty ground.

Even though Dementors couldn't understand human words, they totally got Lester's gestures. As soon as he waved, they floated over to the edge of the empty space in a big group.

"Open the gate for me!"

Lester looked at the tightly shut gate of Azkaban Prison and turned to Carson, giving him the nod.

Clang!

With the sound of a lock clicking open, a massive padlock dropped to the ground, sending up a little cloud of dust.

Then, a tall iron gate, at least 8 meters high, slowly creaked open, thanks to Carson and the other Aurors.

Even though Azkaban Island was dark all the time, if there was one place that was the darkest, it was definitely the prison where the inmates were kept.

This was the true definition of never-ending darkness.

As the iron door of the prison cell creaked open, a beam of light from outside started to seep in, bringing a tiny glimmer of hope to the confused prisoners inside.

Silence. A heavy, eerie silence.

When the prisoners realized the door to Azkaban had been opened, they didn't jump for joy; instead, they were filled with fear of what was to come.

They knew that unless it was time for the weekly transport of new prisoners, the gates of Azkaban wouldn't just swing open for anyone.

If the gates were opening, it meant that the visitors were definitely not from the Ministry of Magic!

Countless prisoners, hidden in the shadows, watched the slowly opening door with the caution of owls in the night.

They were curious to see who had the guts to break into Azkaban and make it past the Dementors.

Soon, under the watchful eyes of the prisoners, a small figure dressed in gray prison garb appeared before them.

"Isn't that Lester?"

Many prisoners recognized him right away; he was the one who had once used a small knife to stab himself and forced them to study those powerful slogans!

Behind Lester, three figures followed closely. From their outfits, it was clear they were Aurors responsible for guarding Azkaban!

"Could it be that Lester escaped from prison and got caught by the Aurors?!"

Many prisoners recalled the scene just moments ago when all the Dementors hurriedly left Azkaban and couldn't help but change their expressions.

Escaping from Azkaban was no small feat; if caught by the Dementors, it would mean certain doom!

Even though Lester had been a bit of a pain when he was around, he had also taught them a lot.

Most importantly, his arrival had sparked a flicker of hope in their aimless lives—a hope for something better.

But now, it seemed like Lester had escaped and was about to face public execution.

How could that not make the prisoners anxious?

Just as the hearts of thousands of prisoners were about to leap into their throats, Lester stopped and stood right in the center of the prison, the only spot lit by light.

At that moment, the prisoners could finally see him clearly; yes, the boy in gray prison garb was indeed Lester.

But his situation seemed a bit different from what they had imagined.

Not only had he not been captured for escaping, but he also seemed to have tamed the Aurors who were supposed to be in charge of Azkaban!

As a prisoner, Lester looked calm, almost like a leader from the Ministry of Magic inspecting Azkaban, casually taking in everything around him.

Meanwhile, the Aurors, acting like jailers, appeared humble before Lester, obediently following his lead.

In that moment, Lester noticed the curious gazes of the other prisoners, but he didn't feel the need to explain too much.

After all, even though he was the unofficial king of this prison, it didn't mean he was fond of this group of criminals.

He was still a pretty normal person at heart.

"Ahem." Lester seemed unfazed as he skillfully pulled out a microphone and tested it with a playful "one soul, two soul" sound.

At that moment, all the lighter offenders in the prison turned their attention to Lester, eager to hear what he had to say.

As for the heavier offenders in Azkaban? Well, the Ministry of Magic had soundproofed the prison walls as a punishment for them.

Even if a concert were happening next door, they wouldn't hear a thing, so Lester wasn't worried at all about them catching his speech.

Looking around and noticing the eager faces of the lighter offenders,

Lester began his speech.

"Right now, in the Wizarding world, there's absolutely no room for us to breathe under the oppression of pure-blood wizards."

Lester, who knew how to stir the pot, quickly set up an enemy for all the prisoners present: the pure-bloods of the Ministry of Magic.

The dark wizards locked up here were likely either Muggle-born wizards without any connections or pure-bloods from families that had fallen on hard times.

After all, if they had a family background, they could probably bribe some officials in the Ministry of Magic and avoid ending up here, right?

And who was responsible for sending them to Azkaban? Wasn't it the group of pure-blood wizards in power at the Ministry of Magic?

So, like Lester, many of the prisoners shared a grudge against the pure-blood officials of the Ministry of Magic!

Sure enough, as soon as Lester spoke, it was like tossing a stone into a calm pond, creating a huge ripple!

"Damn pure-bloods!!!"

Many of the sympathetic prisoners shouted angrily.

Lester didn't try to quiet them down; instead, he wore a mysterious smile.

This was just the beginning; even more explosive statements were yet to come!
