章 28: Chapter 28: Skip!

On our way to the mine, we meet a miner sleeping in the middle of the road and a girl belonging to the first mining team. After asking them for more information, it turns out that some robots occupied the inner area of the Main Mine; neither the miners nor the wanderers can approach now.

The mind behind all this is obvious: Svarog.

-Robots fighting against humans? I've never heard of such a thing. Robots always obey the orders of humans...

Bronya found it hard to accept the fact that there are robots rebelling against humans. That also made my black humor sting...

-They thought the same with the n...

-Nadie!

Luckily, March covered my mouth before my tongue slipped.

-I'm sorry, it was instinctive. You saved me, March.

-My God, how could you think such an outrageous thing?!

-In my defense, you were the first and only one to react, it means you're the only one to understand my black humor.

-I understood too!

Out of nowhere, Stelle screamed with her hands on her hips and her chest heaving. No, why do you seem so proud of yourself for getting the joke? It's just black humor...

-What are you two talking about?

Bronya and Seele looked at us with confusion. Of course, in Belobog there are no dark-skinned people, it's a snowy world with no desert after all.

-Nothing, it's just black humor.

I commented with a slight smile.

-It's nothing, don't worry about this idiot.

March sighed tiredly as she saw me not at all sorry.

I mean, it's just humor. I'm not racist... well, only with jokes; but I'm not really racist when it comes to treatment and friendships.

Since the elevator was broken, we had to take the long way. We also came across some homeless people passing through, they tried to rob us so obviously we beat them up.

My job, of course I gave them moral support from a distance.

-Go my brave heroes, fight for me!

-Is he always like that?

Seele looked at me strangely as she asked March.

-You'll get used to it...

March commented in a flat voice as she pulls her bow and shoots arrows composed of ice at the wanderers.

After defeating a specific group, March notices a strange object that the wanderers left behind when they escaped.

-Huh? What's this? Did those guys just leave it behind?

Out of nowhere, the object lights up and floats on its own.

-Ahh! What is this?!

-March, your scream is really cute. Next time I'll be sure to record it and make it my ringtone.

-Don't you dare!

[Beep, beep... Looking for a potential user...]

The object... rather, the robot spoke out of nowhere.

[Beep, beep... Voice detected. Beep, beep... Searching for the corresponding identity information... Oh, wow, it's an alien].

-Did this thing just speak? And does it know we're not from this planet?

March exclaimed in surprise, to which Dan Heng calmly analyzed.

-It doesn't look like technology from this world. Look, it even has an Interastral Peace Corporation logo on it. Maybe it's an antique left here by some interstellar traveler.

[Beep, beep... Antiquity would be you! Beep, beep... And your mother too!]

-...

Dan Heng kept silent at the insult. Me? Of course I reacted as my usual self....

-Uuuh. What he said to you.

Of course, Stelle joined in as well.

-Poor Dan Heng, age is secondary. At least your mother is pretty?

Surprisingly, March 7th joined in too...

-Hahaha! Dan Heng, you were humiliated by a robot!

Umu. It seems I'm being a bad influence on both of you, good thing I realized that! I won't do anything to remedy it anyway.

[Beep, beep... Well, whatever. So the aliens know about the Interastral Peace Corporation? That's cool. Beep, beep... My introduction: I'm Richard, a domestic object finder. Beep, beep... Model info: Version 0.63, professional model, deluxe annual edition. Beep, beep... Nickname: "Thing Finder"]

-A domestic object finder? Who would have thought that the company manufactured this type of product....

March squatted down to pet the robot.

[Beep, beep... My brainwave scanner module is damaged. Beep, beep... Please take me to an Interastral Peace Appliance store for free repair within the 232-year, 84-day warranty period. Beep, beep... Aliens, please take me to an Interastral Peace Appliance store for repair].

-What? This little fella's already broken... Should we take it with us?

March asked for our opinion.

-My carrying capacity is already maxed out...

Stelle commented.

[Beep, beep... When you need to find something that you can't see, just call Stinkfinder, that's me].

-It looks like it's going to follow us anyway....

-Let's just dismantle it.

I commented without much interest. Even though the Thrush Seeker is used in the future of the game, his appearances are of little relevance... I'll be honest, his voice annoys me.

[Beep, beep... You can't do that. Beep, beep... That's a violation of property rights. Beep, beep... Beep, beep... Beep, beep...]

-I'm going to break this thing.

That "beep, beep..." is starting to piss me off.

-Wait, I'd better keep it.

In the end, Stelle put the Richard Stalker away in her inventory. This girl is too nice...

Moving further into the mine, we find two groups of people arguing, they are miners and drifters. It seems that Svarog's intervention forced them to escape and so they are fighting, blaming each other for being cowards.

The only difference between the miners and the vagabonds is that the latter group carry shovels as weapons, this prompted them to use force. To the miners' luck, our group arrived just in time for the rescue.

While they were fighting, I pulled out popcorn to enjoy the conflict.

-Hell, where's the skip button? I'm already getting bored with this slow development.

Used to my random comments, nobody answered.

After saving the miners, bla bla blaaa bla bla blaaa...

-Skip!

-Nadie?!

-Wait, Nadie! Where are you going?!

I ignored the screams of Stelle and March respectively, kept going ignoring every obstacle and ran at high speed.

-I can't stand the pace of this chapter anymore! No matter how you look at it, this is all filler! Was the scriptwriter just paid in Colonipenal?! After experiencing that peak, all this nonsensical development is irritating me! Skip! Skip! Skip! Skip!

-What's wrong with him...?

Bronya felt a bit overwhelmed at my abrupt behavior, but still followed the group running at full speed.

-No idea, it's the first time I've seen him like this.

March replied worriedly.

-Tsk. A wagon on the road? Easy obstacle, I'll blow it to pieces!

-Wait!

I was about to summon my Divine Bow but Seele jumped on me and held me to the ground.

-What are you doing Seele?! Let go of me! Can't you see that thing is in the way?!

-I can see it and that's why I stopped you! -Don't destroy the miners' equipment! I'll repair it so calm down!

-Huh?! And how long will that take?! You really think that...?!

Out of nowhere Stelle hugged me and buried my face in her breasts.

-Here, boobs.

Instantly calming myself, I wrapped my arms around Stelle's waist and rubbed my face against her boobs.

-I will wait. Rather, take your time. I hadn't touched breasts in days, maybe that's why I was so frustrated.

-What the hell...?

Everyone except Stelle looked confused.

Unbelievable. Under the clothes, Stelle doesn't go anything prominent, but it turns out she does have a lot of "plot". I just never tried to look beyond that, so I never stereotype these wonders.

-Nadie has been out of action for days and his libido is delicate, it's all Herta's fault.

-Stelle, why do you know that?

March felt strange that Stelle understood me so much.

-Trade secrets.

-Stop right there.

Stelle's answer for some reason made me very uncomfortable.

-What the hell do you mean by "trade secrets"? Why are they "trade"?

-Answer!

Oh god, there are people investigating about my habits and sex life? Who could... KAFKAAAAAAAAAAAA!

------

Somewhere in the galaxy.

-It's not here... not here either.

-What's wrong Kafka? Why do you look so worried? Are you looking for something?

-Oh Firefly. I'm just looking for my notepad, a very important one. I think I lost it and I can't find it anywhere.

-Do you want me to help you? Maybe with SAM's locator function I can find what you need.

-It's okay, it doesn't have to go that far. I have plenty of copies, the only thing I'm worried about is the notepad falling into the wrong hands.

-Is there confidential information written down?

-Very.

Kafka bit her thumbnail and began to mutter quietly to herself.

-There's every one of Nadie's weaknesses and fetishes written down in there, I can't let some random bitch find it.

-I'm sorry, did you say something? You were speaking too softly.

-Don't worry, Firefly. If it's not around, it means I must have dropped it at the Space Station. Knowing Herta, I'm sure she'd never turn a blind eye to those notes.

------

At Space Station Herta.

-Miss Herta....

With a terrible blush on her cheeks, Asta turned to Herta's wrist hesitantly.

-What's wrong Asta?

-Why did you give "those" notes to Stelle?

-By "those" notes, you mean "those"?

-Yes...

Asta nodded with embarrassment. Of course, the notepad Asta was referring to is the same notepad Kafka was talking about. A cleaning robot handed it to Asta, the notepad was found in the Nadie room while cleaning.

-Simple, it's my reward for exploiting her in the Simulated Universe. It's easy to see that that oaf is very fond of Nadie, and Nadie also takes a special liking to her. Sooner or later it will happen, I'm just speeding up the process.

-Why do that?

-Why...? Because I want to secure the shackles more. Just so Nadie would never think of going back to his universe again.

-...

Asta was a bit startled to see the obsession shining in Herta's eyes.

-Of course, it's just insurance. Even if Nadie has already promised that he's not interested in returning, it won't hurt to reinforce the chains that bind him to me.

Asta kept silent, she didn't know how to answer. She simply asked out of curiosity, it's rare to see Herta share something related to Nadie after all.
