I brushed the hair off Jax's forehead as we laid on my bed. I examined the scar on his eyebrow as I imagined what his childhood was like. Nobody knew what went on in the mansion. Not even the staff. It was like we were worlds apart but in the same space. I could totally understand why. They were our royal family and with that title, there were secrets, unimaginable things that they had to keep to themselves.

Our relationship was the first time that our two worlds were getting involved. Most of the time, the royal family often married into the elite. Most of the elite do not live in the pack, they lived in the human world and no one knew why or how. I had tried to find one after I ran away, hoping that I could get some sort of security from them but I couldn't find anyone.

"I honestly don't want to go back." Jax mumbled against my skin making me giggle. "I just want to be free of all my responsibilities for just a minute."
