"So, it seems you're intent on facing off with me here. But you'll need to wait until I finish dealing with Fusion Android 13 first."
Goku wasn't particularly surprised by Cell's desire to kill him.
"That's not going to happen. Fusion Android 13 is going to become part of me."
Seeing Goku preparing to finish off Fusion Android 13, Cell immediately charged forward, intent on stopping him.
Cell raised his hands, spreading his fingers wide before placing them near his head.
"Huh!?"
Realizing Cell's intentions, Goku quickly launched a barrage of ki blasts to stop him, but it was already too late.
"Solar Flare!"
A blinding light erupted from Cell, engulfing everyone in its brilliance and momentarily robbing them of their sight.
When their vision returned, Fusion Android 13 was gone—absorbed by Cell.
"Aaaaah!"
Cell let out a roar, and a crimson aura burst forth from his body, surging with intense power. As his energy spiked, arcs of lightning began to dance across his form.
The sheer force of Cell's energy sent shockwaves throughout the area. The weaker fighters struggled to maintain their footing, with some nearly blown away entirely.
"What... what kind of monster is this!?" Yamcha exclaimed, barely holding his ground.
Thankfully, Goku acted swiftly, creating a protective energy shield to stabilize Yamcha and the others.
After a moment, the chaotic winds subsided.
"Hahaha! I never expected my power to reach such heights."
"What do you say, Goku? Beg for mercy, and I might grant you a painless death."
Cell laughed, reveling in his newfound strength.
"The battle hasn't even started yet, Cell. It's too early for that kind of talk!"
Goku vanished in an instant. When he reappeared, he was directly in front of Cell, landing a powerful punch to his chest.
"What's wrong, Goku? Not giving it your all? You were much stronger just a moment ago."
Cell remained completely unfazed, as if Goku's attack was no more than a light scratch, and took the opportunity to taunt him.
['This can't be... My attack shouldn't be this weak. Could it be...?']
Suddenly, Goku's expression shifted as a sharp wave of pain and weakness surged through him, his breathing becoming ragged.
['Damn it! It's the heart virus... Why now, of all times?']
Goku immediately realized what was happening—his long-dreaded heart condition was flaring up. His body began to weaken rapidly.
"Hahaha, feeling off, Goku? Looks like that earlier fight took more out of you than you thought."
Noticing Goku's unusual behaviour, Cell smirked as he taunted him further.
Clutching his chest in pain, Goku staggered back several steps, his energy and strength fading fast.
"Something's wrong with Goku. Could it be that he's overexerted himself?" Krillin said, worry evident in his voice as he observed Goku's weakening state.
Reaching into the pouch at his waist, Krillin prepared to grab a senzu bean, ready to throw it to Goku.
"It's... it's the heart virus! Dad is suffering from the heart virus!"
Gohan suddenly realized the severity of the situation as he observed his father's condition.
Piccolo stopped Krillin from retrieving a senzu bean. "Senzu beans can heal injuries, but they can't cure illnesses like Goku's heart virus."
"Right now, our priority should be to retreat and get Goku to a safe place where he can take the special medicine. Only then can we hope to defeat this monster."
Piccolo's words carried weight as he kept Krillin from acting impulsively.
Meanwhile, Goku's condition worsened. A chilling sensation enveloped his heart, followed by a sharp, searing pain. Unable to maintain his Super Saiyan form, his energy dissipated, and he reverted to his normal state.
Goku collapsed to the ground, clutching his chest tightly, groaning in agony.
Cell observed Goku's suffering and sighed in disappointment.
"So that's it? You couldn't even hold out long enough for me to fully enjoy my newfound power. How boring."
Cell turned his gaze toward Krillin and the others.
"Hey, Krillin, take Goku somewhere he can get treated. This kind of fight isn't what I'm looking for. I'll give you seven days to prepare. Then, I'll take his life with my own hands."
"I'll announce the location of our battle through the TV station when the time comes."
Cell's declaration left everyone stunned. They couldn't believe he would choose not to take advantage of Goku's weakened state.
Once finished, Cell lowered his aura and calmly left the battlefield.
Krillin rushed forward and helped Goku to his feet.
Yamcha, his voice full of concern, asked, "You heard what Cell said. What's the plan now?"
Krillin, still supporting Goku, replied urgently, "First, I'll take Goku somewhere he can get treated."
Cell's words lingered in everyone's minds, forcing them to think carefully about their next steps.
Vegeta, however, ignored everyone and took off into the sky. The thought of being outmatched by a mere android was unbearable to him. He vowed to train relentlessly over the next seven days to surpass his limits.
"This time, Cell spared us, but that won't happen again. I need to grow stronger." Vegeta muttered to himself as he disappeared.
Piccolo had his own plan. He decided to head to Kami's Lookout to fuse with Kami, reuniting their essences and restoring the power of the being they once were.
The rest of the group resolved to wait for Goku's recovery. They knew that without him, they stood no chance against Cell.
--------------------------
After leaving the battlefield, Cell arrived in a mountainous region.
"This place will do nicely. I'll make it the stage for my competition."
Surveying his surroundings, Cell nodded in approval. He was satisfied with the area's atmosphere. His next task was to construct the arena.
With a thunderous roar, Cell flattened the surrounding mountains. Using telekinesis, he shaped the rubble into perfect square stones. Piece by piece, he arranged them to form a flat, square arena.
Finally, he erected four large pillars at the corners of the platform, completing the battleground.
Pleased with his work, Cell headed to a nearby TV station to make his announcement.
Without hesitation, he flew straight through the building, crashing through floor after floor until he reached the live broadcast studio.
The terrified screams of the humans below echoed, but Cell paid them no mind as he entered the room, ready to deliver his message.
Cell's ominous intentions became clear as he addressed the entire world through the TV station broadcast.
"Greetings, people of Earth. My name is Cell. In seven days, I will host a competition called the 'Cell Games' at this location." Cell then provided the coordinates to the newly built arena before outlining the rules of the tournament.
"The rules of the competition will be the same as your World Martial Arts Tournament. If a contestant falls out of the arena, they lose, and the last one standing in the ring will be declared the winner."
"If anyone manages to defeat me, I will leave Earth in peace. But if no one can, I will destroy the planet."
After delivering his chilling ultimatum, Cell left the station and flew back to the arena he had constructed.
--------------------------
Meanwhile, at Goku's house in Mount Paozu, Krillin administered the special medicine for the heart virus.
After taking the medication, Goku's condition visibly improved. Though he still required more time to recover fully, he no longer appeared to be in unbearable pain.
The group gathered around, watching over him with a mix of hope and apprehension.
The news of 'Cell Games' had already spread, and they all knew the rules and location from the broadcast.
"That monster... Once Goku is better, he'll take him down for sure!" Yamcha exclaimed, clenching his fists in frustration.
The others remained silent, their concern etched across their faces. All they could do now was wait and silently pray for Goku's swift recovery.
