The next couple of hours passed along with the exhaustion that came with trying on outfit after outfit. Leonora was meticulous, checking the fit, adjusting seams, and making small notes as Edoardo did his best to look good in clothes that didn't always feel like they fit him.
They both grew tired, but neither of them said anything.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity of fittings, Edoardo stepped out of the last outfit, his shoulders sagging from the weight of the long session. He glanced at the clock on the wall, realizing that he still had time before his next work commitment.
"Well, I think we're done here," he said, rolling his shoulders. "I've got to head out—there's still work I need to get to, you know how leone is."
Leonora looked up, her expression unreadable for a moment before she gave a small nod. "Of course," she said, her voice soft. "I know how he is."
