Alice had just left the martial arts training ground, with her daughter, the sound of her wheels rolling on the pavement blending with the hum of the busy city. As she turned a corner, she thought back to the strange and unsettling figure she had seen earlier.

It wasn't the man's figure that caught her attention.

it was the overwhelming presence of the man. He was surrounded by more than twenty bodyguards, each of them moving in tight formations like a well-oiled machine.

"Why would anyone need that much security?" Alice murmured to herself. "Whoever he is, he's not normal."

What Alice didn't know was that the visible bodyguards were only part of the equation. Hidden in the shadows, cloaked in the darkness of the surroundings, were the shadow guards. Invisible to the casual observer, they were the true protectors, ensuring that nothing, no one,could threaten the man.
