Oscorp Building

The New York Police Department task force, led by Captain George Stacy, quickly sprang into action, strategizing ways to assist Spider-Man.

Meanwhile, other officers focused on evacuating New Yorkers in the Manhattan area to ensure their safety.

"We need to find a way to help Spider-Man!" George barked, his eyes fixed on the chaos unfolding above. Turning to a task force member, he asked, "Is the sniper in position?"

"Ready and waiting!" the officer responded solemnly. "We can take the shot at any moment."

"Good. Tell him to seize the first opportunity," George instructed before redirecting his attention to the evacuation efforts.

Thankfully, Spider-Man's intervention kept civilian casualties to a minimum. While the Green Goblin wreaked havoc, most of the damage was limited to buildings and municipal infrastructure.

The Oscorp Building, which had only recently been repaired, seemed particularly cursed, bearing the brunt of the destruction.

George glanced skyward at the dueling figures. He knew there would be time to assess damages and casualties later, but right now, his priority was clear: stop the Green Goblin as soon as possible.

Mid-Air

The Green Goblin, riding his agile flying glider, maneuvered like a slippery eel, darting unpredictably around the sky. Spider-Man, swinging from his webs, struggled to pin down the Goblin's movements.

Thankfully, his spider-sense helped him narrowly dodge the Goblin's lethal attacks, allowing him to retaliate when he could. However, the prolonged battle was wearing him down—a common hazard for superheroes against relentless opponents.

Spider-Man's growing frustration was evident. Sensing an opportunity, the Green Goblin suddenly accelerated on his glider and rammed directly into him.

Caught off guard, Spider-Man was thrown from the sky and crashed onto the roof of a car below.

The vehicle's roof crumpled under the impact, triggering its blaring alarm. Spider-Man barely had time to register the pain before he saw another pumpkin bomb hurtling toward him. His eyes widened as he quickly rolled to the side.

BOOM!

The car exploded in a fiery burst, sending debris flying and filling the street with the acrid stench of gasoline. Flames licked at the sky as the battle shifted from the air to the ground.

The Streets Below

Seeing the confrontation hit street level, the NYPD task force mobilized, surrounding the Green Goblin with guns drawn.

"Open fire!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Bullets ricocheted harmlessly off the Goblin's advanced armor. He smirked at their futile efforts.

"Task force? How adorably naive!" the Green Goblin sneered before tossing another pumpkin bomb.

BOOM!

The explosion sent officers scattering, many collapsing onto the pavement. George Stacy's expression twisted with grief and frustration. Watching his men fall filled him with a mix of heartache and helplessness.

Facing supervillains armed with cutting-edge technology, the NYPD's conventional weapons felt woefully inadequate. Worse, these villains often displayed outright disregard for civilian lives, making them even harder to contain.

Yet amidst the chaos, one silver lining remained: Spider-Man's valiant efforts had managed to delay the Green Goblin long enough for the evacuation to progress.

For now, George could only hope they could hold out a little longer.

The Green Goblin spotted George at a glance.

"The captain of the New York Police Department—killing you should make my name even louder in New York!"

As Norman Osborn, he was no stranger to the captain of the NYPD. Whatever little friendship they once shared was cast aside mercilessly. The Green Goblin's eyes gleamed with murderous intent as he let out a maniacal laugh and lunged toward George.

George's eyes widened in terror as he sensed the impending danger, feeling as though he were falling into an abyss.

Time seemed to slow down. His reflexes couldn't keep up with the Green Goblin's deadly speed. All he could do was watch the enemy, now an incarnation of death itself, closing in to claim his life.

"Green Goblin, stop!"

Spider-Man's voice rang out, filled with urgency. He swung in from the distance, desperate to stop the madman.

'This is Gwen's father!'

If George died, not only would Gwen be heartbroken, but Peter would also never forgive himself. Worse still, if Gwen discovered he was Spider-Man and realized he'd failed to save her father at a critical moment, it could ruin their relationship forever.

Just as the situation reached its dire peak, a roar came from the horizon.

It was the Batmobile.

"It's Batman!"

In a fringe area of Manhattan, citizens standing on the streets watched the chaos unfold on massive screens, where the news covered the Green Goblin's attack on New York and the Osborn building's loss of control.

Then, they looked up and spotted a familiar silhouette speeding across the skyline.

The Batmobile.

Rewind the clock a few minutes: the bat signal on the roof of the Daily Bugle building had been activated under Anton's instructions.

A massive beam of light pierced the night sky, projecting the iconic bat symbol onto the clouds.

At least half the city had seen it.

The symbol was instantly recognizable.

As a popular attraction and internet icon, the Daily Bugle's bat signal was known across the United States, though it rarely lit up. But tonight, the bat signal once again cast its rare glow.

The bat symbol wavered and danced across the clouds, capturing the city's attention. People were mesmerized. Even those who weren't in Manhattan threw open their windows to catch a glimpse. Some even climbed to their rooftops, hoping to see the Dark Knight himself.

Soon, a black shadow streaked across the sky like lightning.

"The Batmobile!"

"It's Batman!"

"He's here!"

The crowd erupted into cheers.

After enduring several crises, including the infamous Kingpin incident, the city's trust in Batman had reached unprecedented heights.

No matter the challenge, one thing was certain: whenever Batman appeared, people believed—knew—he would save the day.

At the same time, at the Oscorp Building.

Among the police officers who had rushed to the scene, those stationed on the periphery of the Oscorp Building to evacuate citizens spotted the bat signal in the sky and breathed a collective sigh of relief. At some point, even the police had begun placing absolute trust in Batman.

However, their colleagues closer to the heart of the action—members of the NYPD Task Force—had no time to look up. Their focus was entirely on the Green Goblin.

This included a sniper, always ready, scanning for the perfect opportunity to take a shot.

As the Green Goblin lunged at Captain George Stacy, tension gripped the officers. Beads of cold sweat rolled down their foreheads and backs, and frantic shouts echoed through their comms.

The sniper, gritting his teeth, finally pulled the trigger.

The armor-piercing bullet struck the Goblin's flying glider, chipping the edge of its corner. The glider wobbled slightly, but the Goblin remained steadfast, hurtling directly toward George Stacy.

It wasn't enough to change the outcome.

Spider-Man's heart sank as he watched, his eyes wide with desperation.

'It's too late!'

Just then, the Batmobile shot across the sky in the distance.

Spider-Man glanced up, a flicker of hope igniting in his chest, as he witnessed the Batmobile transform mid-air.

A figure ejected from the cockpit like a cannonball, breaking through the air with a shockwave that sent ripples of energy rolling outward. The figure hurtled toward George Stacy with incredible speed.

But Spider-Man still felt despair clawing at him.

He calculated the distance in his mind, frantically assessing the situation. Even at Batman's current speed, it seemed impossible for him to reach George in time.

'He's not going to make it...'

Spider-Man's anxiety surged, his heart pounding.

In mid-air, Batman raised his arm and fired a grappling hook from the clawed mechanism on his forearm.

Meanwhile, George stood frozen on the street, his eyes locked on the Green Goblin barreling toward him.

The Goblin's twisted figure grew larger and larger in George's pupils. He remained still, resolute, even as the air displaced by the glider's approach buffeted him.

Death was imminent, but George's gaze held steadfast determination. Even in his final moments, he refused to waver in his belief: evil would not triumph over justice.

"Hehe!"

The Green Goblin cackled as he aimed to drive the sharp end of his glider through George's chest.

In that very instant, the grappling hook struck.

Boom!

The hook embedded itself into the Goblin's glider, destabilizing it. The glider veered wildly, spinning out of control as thick black smoke poured from its damaged propulsion system.

The Green Goblin, caught off guard, was flung from the glider by the force of inertia. He smashed into the wall of a nearby building with a deafening crash.

A moment later, Batman landed in front of George Stacy.

Boom!

The impact of his landing cracked the pavement, forming a deep crater beneath him. The sound rang out like a meteor striking the earth.

Batman stood in the pit, his grim gaze fixed on the Green Goblin. Without turning, he gestured for George to retreat.

"George, evacuate the citizens. There's no need for the contingent anymore," Batman said in a calm, commanding tone.

He added firmly, "Leave the Green Goblin to me."
