"Do you think she'll break, Logan?" Selene's voice echoed in the dimly lit room, her eyes gleaming as she surveyed the scene before her. "Or will she be a problem, like last time?"
Logan's lips curled into a sneer, his jaw tight with frustration. He had been watching Aria for weeks now, trying to figure out how to undo the confidence she'd found in herself. She had changed, becoming more than the meek, terrified woman she once was, and that only made him want her more.
"She won't break," Logan hissed, his voice low but filled with venom. "She's stubborn, but so am I. She'll learn to remember her place." He paced across the room, his eyes dark with obsession. "I'll make sure of it."
Selene's eyes narrowed with a mix of jealousy and calculation. "And when she does, Dante will have no choice but to let you take back control. You'll get her back, Logan. You'll see."
