In New York, Inside a well lit and rather large underground section with a large arc reactor under the building in front, owned by Stark enterprises, Obadiah stood.
Behind him, loads of scientists were walking around, servers running, the arc reactor buzzing, while the scientists were trying to figure something out, capturing reading from the large arc reactor.
Meanwhile Obadiah was looking at the huge metal suit, similar to the Ironman, except way bigger and bulkier.
A chest dark and hollow, something he stared at fuming.
A person in a laboratory named William looked uncomfortable as he explained.
"Sir the technology to Create it, doesn't exist" He said.
"William, we have the technology" Obadiah said pointing at the large version of the Arc reactor.
"I want you to make it smaller!" Obadiah his voice increasing as he looked at William who shrunk back a little.
The other scientist working, coming to a stop as they looked at Obadiah and William, the lead researcher.
"Si.. Sir it's not pos"
"Tony Stark was able to do this in a cave!" Obadiah shouted interrupting the stuttering of William.
"He did it with a BUNCH OF SCRAPS!" He exclaimed his voice echoing through the floor.
"Sir, I'm not Tony Stark" William said stepping back away from Obadiah.
Hearing what William said Obadiah took a step back
"Get out then, your fired" he said as he turned to look at the rest of the scientists.
"Your all fired" He shouted as he waved for them to get out.
They glanced at each other for a few seconds before they set down there clipboards and stopped working the machines.
Soon they began leaving the place through the large elevator.
When the room was empty and only Obadiah was left with the large Arc reactor, he glanced at the large suit without any energy to operate.
His mind racing, just what could he do?
It didn't make sense.
He couldn't just go and take Tony's Arc reactor from his chest.
He remembered Tony telling him about what happened at the cave and how he managed to escape.
"That Arc reactor is what keeps him alive" Obadiah said out loud as a look of reluctance appeared for a few seconds only to be quickly replaced with a gleam of realization.
"But I do want to kill him..." Obadiah said, the look in his eyes a little crazy.
Obadiah wanted Stark group to finally be his.
He did not want to keep living in the shadow of the name Stark.
He had done that for a very long time already and he was not going to do it anymore.
And if that meant killing his nephew, then so be it, he thought to himself.
Tony was too stupid anyways, he wanted to keep the Iron man suit to himself, Obaidah thought to himself.
"Dose he know how much money we can make..." Obaidah muttered.
How will I get the Arc reactor, he wondered.
Obadiah knew that Tony was Ironman, connecting the dots was not hard.
Yet to the world it seems like Tony was somehow entangled with Superman.
And although it seemed impossible, he was begging to believe it as well.
He couldn't risk his life trying to get the Arc reactor from Tony.
It was too much of a gamble, Obadiah thought to himself.
But that again left him with only an empty shell of a suit.
"There is... no way to power the suit" Obadiah muttered.
Unwilling, but realizing that he might just be stuck living under the Stark name for the rest of his life, always overshadowed by there "Genius" at every step of the way.
Obadiah stood, the various hums in the background being the only thing to break the silence, His mind swirled with frustration, anger.
The lights in the underground floor suddenly dimmed, and an unnaturally cold chill filled the air.
Even the Arc reactor seemed like it was affected as it dimmed.
The Servers running and various other machine also quietened.
A voice, smooth and menacing, echoed through the space.
"Power, Obadiah. True, unrelenting power... It's within your grasp."
Obadiah tensed up, scanning the shadows. "Who's there?" he demanded.
A figure stepped into the dim fluorescent light, a tall, charismatic man dressed in a sharp crimson suit. His eyes burned faintly, like embers, and his smile was unsettling.
"Let's just say I have an... interest in your predicament. You may call me Mephisto."
Obadiah narrowed his eyes. "Mephisto? What do you want? How did you get down here!" Obadiah said.
"It's not about what I want, my friend, It's about what you want.
That suit, that power—it could all be yours. I can give you the means to power it, no need for an Arc reactor.
Something far more potent, something no man can rival." Mephisto said with a smile.
By now, Obadiah was scared.
This man suddenly appeared in a place not many even knew existed and was promising him power?
Obadiah was scared but Mephisto's words intrigued him so after a little bit of silence, Obadiah finally spoke.
"Even Superman can't rival?" Obadiah asked, although unwilling, the curiosity was something he could not control.
"That depends on you and your suit" Mephisto said.
"And what's the catch?" Obadiah asked.
Mephisto's grin widened. "Oh, it's quite simple. I'll power your suit with an energy source that no technology on this planet could replicate. But in return... I want your soul."
His body stiffened, his mind racing, A soul? What did that even mean?!
"Are you the devil" Obadiah asked.
"Some call me that" Mephisto shrugged with a small chuckle causing Obadiah to gasp.
His back filled with cold sweat and his throat closing up.
Obadiah's eyes glancing at Mephisto who seemed to display no signs of being the devil, as he would imagine one being.
"What if I refuse?"
Mephisto chuckled, his voice a low rumble. "Then you'll remain as you are—powerless, desperate, and always in Stark's shadow.
But with my help, you could crush him, outshine him, potentially outshine everybody, The choice is yours, Obadiah."
Obadiah hesitated, his desire for power battling against his better judgment.
Am I really about to make a deal the Devil, Obadiah thought to himself, his rational side trying to fight against his emotions.
Thank you guys for reading, have a great day
I could hire other assassin's, Obadiah tried convincing himself.
So what if the Ten rings were incompetent, I can easily find a more competent group to do it.
But no matter what he thought, he always remembered how Iron Man had such a powerful suit and then there was Superman.
Even if he killed Tony and took over, would Superman let him live? Obadiah thought to himself.
Finally, he asked, "If I agree, how does it work?"
Mephisto raised his hand, and a glowing red orb appeared, pulsating with energy.
"This," he said, "will power your suit. But beware—this energy has a will of its own.
It will make you unstoppable, yes, but if you want to use it, it comes with a... price or two beyond what I've mentioned.
Think of it as a bonus surprise and hey, One of them will even make you stronger." Mephisto chuckled.
Obadiah stared at the orb, his reflection distorted in its fiery glow.
"If I destroy Stark and also Superman, take what's mine and live my life how i always wished to... Can I undo the deal?"
Mephisto's grin faded slightly. "Unlikely. But hey, nothing's impossible—if you're clever enough." He said with a little bit of a scoff.
"Fine" Obadiah said after a long silence.
The grin on Mephisto's face widened as he flicked his finger, the orb floating through the air heading for the open cavity in the suit.
As it slowly floated past Obadiah, no heat resonated from it, it was almost like it didn't exist.
Obadiah had an impulse.
He began extending his finger to try and touch it.
To see what would happen because as this seemed like it didn't even exist.
His finger inching closer by the second until it was about to touch the orb.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you" Mephisto said as the Orb sped up out of range from Obadiah.
It shot straight into the opening and disappeared.
A red glow encapsulated the suit making it hard to see the suit for about a minute before it started fading, what was revealed was nothing special, the suit was still the same with absolutely zero change at a glance.
"What happened, did it get absorbed into the suit?" Obadiah wanted to ask as he turned his head to look at Mephisto.
But when he turned, Mephisto was gone.
Obadiah glanced all around but he couldn't find Mephisto.
The flickering lights also stopped flickering.
The buzz of the computers, servers and the Arc reactor also started up again.
The lights were back and everything was functioning properly as if nothing had happened.
He glanced around at this normalcy feeling a little odd.
He even wondered if he had hallucinated everything but that was just a fleeting thought.
He was sure meeting the Devil himself was not a illusion.
He glanced at the large suit that still seemed like an empty shell.
But he knew better.
Stepping close to the suit.
His heart pumping faster and faster with every step he took until he had finally arrived in front of the Armour.
Pulling out a cell phone.
He dialled a number.
"William, you are hired, get back in here, I will pay you and the others a... lets just say, very sizeable bonus for this and bring the scientists who have knowledge off the suit with you" Obadiah said.
He knew what he had done was wrong, but he also knew the power of money.
And he was sure that, William and the other researchers would temporarily put away there prides and come.
After all he couldn't get in this suit and secure it all by himself.
Just as expected.
About 10 minutes later, William walked into the room with 4 other Scientists.
Glancing back at them, Obadiah smiled.
"You are here, come over and help me get in this thing" Obadiah said as he went back to staring at the suit.
His eyes glancing around at the suit, trying to observe any changes no matter how minor, but in this entire time he had spent waiting and observing he had failed to spot a single change.
No one came over so, Obadiah glanced back at the William and the others, he saw them standing there unmoving causing a frown to appear.
"What are you doing, come here!" William said in a loud and commanding tone causing one of the younger scientists in the back to flinch a little.
"No" William stepped forward.
"What do you mean No?" Obadiah asked getting frustrated.
"We want you to apologise to us first" William said, when Obadiah heard that he barely managed to stop himself from bursting out laughing.
"You must be joking" he said struggling to keep a straight face.
"We are not" William replied causing a deep frown to appear on, his face.
"If you don't get here right now, forget being fired, I will make you never get to work again" he threatened now a little serious but William and the rest didn't move.
They were sick of how Pierce treated them.
They were his employees, but so what, they were humans as well.
Was it too much to ask a little respect?
Pierce gritted his teeth as they stared at him in silence refusing to move.
His eyes glancing at the Suit and the scientist.
Frustration bubbling.
"Alright then, I am sorry" Pierce said feeling extremely reluctant.
But right now he had to use the suit.
Use what he sold his soul for.
Without the assistance of these scientists it was an impossible task to get in the suit.
William nodded.
"Open this up" Obadiah said.
They stepped forwards and began to open the suit.
A few locks later, the suit was opened up, empty in the middle, just waiting for somebody to step inside.
William and Pierce stood there looking at the opened suit as the other Scientists stepped back after completely opening it.
"Sir, this still has no power, what is the use" William asked but received no reply from Obadiah.
As a matter of fact, this entire time, Obadiah had not said a word to them.
He removed his suit, stripped himself down to his under garments.
Moving forward, He placed his body into the space that fit him perfectly.
As if it was measured and built exactly for his body and his body only.
"Close it up" Obadiah said without much expression to William who stood in front of him.
After that, Obadiah didn't bother glancing at William, who felt a little awkward but knew what he had down was the right thing asking Pierce to apologies.
He did not know what plan Pierce had in mind, but he didn't care.
"Close it up" William said as he stepped back and glanced at the four other Scientists.
