The next day at school, we sat in our respective seats at opposite ends of the classroom. I wanted so badly to look back at him, but I couldn't right now, and that was killing me. Stupid Matt.

"Did you two make up?" Coraline whispered.

"Totally, it's all thanks to you. I now believe in your women's intuition."

"Acting cute always works, I told you."

"I'll repay you for this somehow."

"Ethan!" A rough-looking guy strolled up to Ethan's desk. "I heard you were dating someone. Is she cute? Tell me."

He was speaking incredibly loudly. What? Girlfriend? Oh shit, did Kayla go shooting her mouth off? What an idiot.

"What?" Ethan replied.

"You have no idea how many girls are heartbroken because you're taken. Let me see a photo of her."
