章 15: The Town Master
The competition has ended, and after Li Fenshuang took a pose of victory, which he did by standing awkwardly, the crowd dispersed, still submerged in their own excitement.
"Holy sh*t! That Li Fenshuang is just too monstrous! That savage Ye Lingtian was defeated in just five moves!"
"That's not it. Do you know what I like the most about him? It's his lack of boastfulness! He won this unprecedented Martial Arts Competition in the history of Jin Town, but he did not even brag. Hell, he didn't even held his head high, as if it was just his ordinary day!"

The supervisor left directly. Li Fenshuang took a deep breath before he knocked on the lavish door.

A calm, steady voice with undeniable authority called over. Calming himself down, Li Fenshuang slowly opened the door and entered the room.
"I assume that you are Li Fenshuang?"
The Town Master was a man in his prime, surprisingly. His eyebrows are heroic as he calmly leaned on his chair, looking at him with a penetrative gaze. His face was sharp and handsome but not unblemished like a woman's. Instead, his face was littered with scars, creating a sense of ruggedness.
What more striking was his eyes. Their purple shade was like an abyss, creating a sense of being engulfed.
Looking at this person, Li Fenshuang refused to believe that he was just a simple Town Master. Although faint, he could feel something much more terrifying than the old supervisor, something that he could faintly sense because of the Keen White Tiger.
"This Junior greets the Town Master!"
He bowed respectfully. The Town Master didn't react, but his face was graced with a tiny smile.
"Not bad. Your mastery over the Four Mystic Arts has reached entry. I assume you had inherited Little Hong's legacy?"
The Town Master said it as if it was just an ordinary thing, but Li Fenshuang's heart turned cold. Still, he did not make an abrupt movement, knowing that the Town Master could easily kill him if he wants to.
Having no other choices, Li Fenshuang flatly admitted it.
"This Junior has indeed inherited his legacy."
"You are worthy. Ji Hongxe was an admirable man, but he was too adamant to take things into his own hands. Still, a man's gotta live for his words, right?"
The Town Master stood up and took a sip of his tea, closing his eyes to contemplate. In the end, he turned to Li Fenshuang, who calmly stood, and said.

The Town Master was satisfied. Since he took this position a couple of years ago, the winners were all trash. That's why he invited that Young Mistress over in hope of filtering the useless ones.

The Town Master watched as the door closed again. He stayed still for a moment.
"Yu Zheng, in a few years, she will came down to search for you. You know how adamant your wife could be."
A little black lizard appeared out of nowhere, lying down on a spot of the Town Master's shoulders. It talked cynically, as if it was its nature to be cynical.
Yu Zheng, the Town Master, sighed slightly as he sat down again. His eyes longingly looked at a picture of a veiled, peerless woman, but he ultimately reverted his gaze.
"This fate is who I wished to be. And no one, not even them, could stop me. Luo Yihe, just why do you have to be so persistent? You could've just live peacefully."
"Your husband has committed a grave sin, but I wished to live by my principles. I do not wish for you to partake in this path of suffering."
"Sometimes, a woman's love could be stronger than a man's will."
The little black lizard gives a piece of advice, but it only makes Yu Zheng grieved even further.
"I'll give her the world, but I don't want her to give back to me..."
"You're just as foolish as your wife. Ah, what a mess!"

Li Fenshuang was somewhat intrigued. Unfortunately, the information provided by the internet was too shallow. In the end, he just sighed and looked at all the things he got.
To hide the existence of the Four Mystic Arts, he must learn other skills.
