It was not before the dawn did Remirg open his eyes. The thin ray of sunlight which penetrated his room via the window somehow, coincidentally, fell right into his eye, quite of a very conservative alarm. It was a peaceful four-hour sleep for him, devoid of any nightmares.
The comfortability had done its job pretty well. It was not very tough for Remirg to wake up now. He rarely slept more than three hours at a time, often loitering the woods behind his shack trying to liven himself up.
Helping himself up, Remirg drew a deep breath, taking in the sterile and pollutant-free air of the lonely island over the seemingly endless void. It felt like the only existence within the vicinity of not less than a million miles was just he and his soul.
The very thought gave Remirg Kryptos a slight shudder, making him remind the purpose he was here for.
