Remirg read the whole of the summary uneasily as an eyeball, roughly the size of a table tennis ball, was hovering over his hand, spewing a mysterious green prana.

Though the eyeball possessed no magic on its own, its features were embedded right into the physical form of itself, an innate ability. It, in itself, possessed the skills of the perished knight, who could, by the means of rigorous training, had mastered the way to detect weaknesses.

Though the number of such warriors had significantly decreased after the Great War of Finz, some, who still had faith in the profession, work as assassins on hire. Being criticized in all the ways possible, the knights were the only ones blamed for the initiation of the bloody war. And the insults have carried themselves over fora w whole decade after the war.

Nevertheless, Remirg figured out how to use the artifact.

The one fact that disappointed him the most was that it was a one-time use only. The presence of a pulsating prana signified that the object couldn't sustain much exertion of prana. It could hold for barely a duration of six hours.

Though surely, that info conceded with the fact that the artifact was a W-Class artifact as well. Still, six hours should be enough for Remirg to take care of five nightly creatures.

Remembering how he had inserted the resonance core inside his body, Remirg brought the eye right up in front of his face, directly perpendicular in front of his right eye. If somebody else had been standing in front of him, he surely looked like a fool; or that was what Remirg thought.

Closing his eyes, Remirg eased his breathing down, effectively lowering his heart rate as well as his scattering prana.

Thinking as hard as he could, imagining the whole process inside his head, Remirg visualized the gruesome eyeball entering his right eye. Though pitiful the process was, it was his only pass to get this room for himself.

And as he did, the eye left the confines of his palm and displaced forward, right towards himself. His facial muscles tensed as he braced for the combination. His face contracted into a grimace.

But what the process took was but one moment.

Easily lodging itself inside the right eye-socket, the eyeball merged with Remirg's own, giving it a green glow of its own. Remirg's iris was now bearing two colors. Half of it was blue and the other half, bright green, giving the appearance of a heterochromic eye.

The whole process, to Remirg's satisfaction, didn't pain at all, just like with the resonance core.

Looking around himself, Remirg could feel no visible change at all. All the objects surrounding him looked just the same. Even with the activation of Prana Presence, Remirg could not see any viable difference.

Releasing a breath, he painfully concluded that the eye could only work when fighting opponents. He could do nothing else until he stood right in front of the creatures themselves.

Talking a quick glance at the countdown, recording the time he still had inside the room, Remirg realized that he had just above an hour. An hour and a minute to be exact.

He needed to rejuvenate as much energy as possible before dusk falls.

He could not eat now, because the food would not be digested in an hour. What he needed was instant energy.

And Remirg exactly knew where he could find this particular source.

Producing a quite prominent smirk on his face, he opened the item shop once again, eyeing his balance another time.

BALANCE: 1 PRANA COIN

Scrolling down to an item in the bottom right corner of all the items he was available with, he chose one specific option. Quite satisfied at the price of the item, Remirg purchased it without any further ado.

The Simulator simultaneously popped the notification the moment the item was received by the inventory.

[THE PLAYER HAS SUCCESSFULLY PURCHASED AN ITEM FROM THE ITEM SHOP!

ITEM NAME: PRANA POTION

CLASS: Z

MAGIC RETENTION: 100

A BASIC POTION WHICH REJUVINATES THE USER'S PRANA BY A MAGNITUDE OF HUNDRED AND REMOVES FATIGUE.

SIDE EFFECTS CONTAINS EXTREME FATIGUE AFTER 24 HRS OF USAGE. CAN EASILY BE REMOVED BY RESTING]

Quite satisfied at the choice he made; he took a quick glance at the vial of silver liquid he had received.

Apparently, the vial itself was imbued with a high concentration of prana, making it a one-use item only. After consumption, the vial would disappear.

Shrugging it right back into the inventory again, Remirg finally concluded he was best prepared on his level for the upcoming battle. That was the maximum he could do for it. The rest, it was all to be decided by fate.

Looking down once again, he admired his outfit again. For no reason at all.

-------------------------------------------------------------

There were but ten minutes before the advent of dusk. The timer depicted by the system represented the same fact as well.

Making his way out to the island outdoors, Remirg could see that the mysterious sun, which had been blazing the first time he had stumbled upon this world, was reaching the plinth of the horizon. The clouds, forming an endless layer of pseudo terrain acted as a diameter for the hemisphere of the sky behind which the sun was ready to vanish.

Remirg was watching it intently, his face quite expressionless. It was one of the beautiful things he was still allowed to witness. And this may be the last time he was seeing it. Even though in a world unknown to him. Maybe the sun was not the very same one he saw from his planet.

But it provided him with the same soothing effect. A gentle assurance that he was not alone. A light still illuminated over him, lighting up his way wherever he went. His constant and the most faithful companion.

Remirg was still dazing at the sun when the notification finally arrived.

Mark was becoming more and more proficient at his job now.

[DUSK HAS FALLEN OVER THE ISLAND! THE ROOM WILL NOW BE CLOSED TO YOU. THE NIGHTLY CREATURES WILL NOW APPEAR!]
