After finalizing the details with Henry, Eclipse Rocelyn walked out of Empire Group alone.
The employees of Empire Group were surprised to see a young girl with long hair and striking features stepping out of their boss's private elevator.
"Who is she? A new employee? Which department is she from?"
"I don't know. She came out of President Henry's elevator. What's her relationship with him?"
Ignoring their whispers, Eclipse went to a nearby beverage store and bought a cup of lemonade. She sat on a bench by the roadside, holding the cup in her hands.
She looked up at the blue sky over Star City, missing her homeland.
The sky there was just as blue, but the feeling wasn't the same.
Her homeland had cold air, a place where her loved ones, her friends, and everything she held dear remained.
When she was younger, too sick to go outside, she would often sit in a glass greenhouse, looking up at the same blue sky.
Occasionally, she'd spot eagles flying above, their cries clear and majestic.
"Where the heart is at peace, there is home," she thought. One day, her feet would step on that land again. She would return with the souls of fallen heroes and take them to the Monument of Heroes.
Eclipse took a sip of her lemonade, trying to calm her heart, and smiled warmly at the sky.
Suddenly, her phone buzzed in her bag. She pulled it out and saw the word "Husband" flashing on the screen.
She stared at the contact name, slightly amused.
Eclipse had lost her old phone and hadn't bothered replacing it to avoid harassment from the Rocelyn and Jade families.
It was Alastor who had slipped this new phone into her hand earlier that morning.
"Husband..." she murmured. The word felt unfamiliar, but there was a strange sense of ownership about it.
After staring at the screen for a few moments, Eclipse finally pressed the answer button.
---
At Empire Group, Henry stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, watching Eclipse's figure slowly disappear into the distance.
His eyes narrowed slightly.
He walked back to his desk and tapped the table, triggering a sensor.
On the large screen across the room, a man with black hair appeared—Alastor.
He sat casually on a sofa, his deep, cold eyes betraying no emotion.
His hands rested elegantly on his knees, as if they were carved from fine white jade, every inch of him exuding a sense of nobility and perfection.
Henry twirled his glass of water with his long fingers and spoke in a low voice, "Your new wife... she's not ordinary."
Empire Group was a massive corporation, powerful enough to support generations.
The courage and attitude Eclipse had displayed, saying no when she didn't want something, wasn't something many people had.
Alastor's eyes darkened, and he shot Henry a cold glance. "Not a single hair on her head is to be harmed," he said.
Henry raised an eyebrow, sensing that Alastor was in a foul mood.
Was it because Eclipse hadn't accepted his gifts? They were already married, so did it matter that much?
Henry's frown deepened, but he didn't ask. Instead, he smiled and said, "Of course. She's your beloved wife. Not just the Empire Group, but the entire Star City—I guarantee no one will dare harm her."
---
Back on the street, Eclipse continued her phone call with Alastor. "What's wrong?" she asked with a smile, her voice soft.
Alastor's low voice came through the phone, his concern barely masked. "Where are you?"
Eclipse paused for a moment, touched by his unexpected worry.
Henry was Alastor's man, so he must have heard that she left the building alone. Star City wasn't exactly friendly to her, after all.
"I'm just out getting some air. I'll be back soon," she said, her tone light.
Alastor let out a soft "hmm," his voice calm but firm. "Call me if you need anything."
"Okay."
Eclipse ended the call, put her phone back in her bag, and began walking back to Empire Group when a luxury car suddenly pulled up in front of her.
Inside were Robert Jade and Jessica Rocelyn. They were a striking pair, looking like fairy-tale characters.
Eclipse casually crushed her empty cup and tossed it into the trash bin beside her.
Jessica stepped out of the car, wearing a concerned expression, though her tone was anything but sincere. "Eclipse, are you okay? You haven't been home these past few days. I've called you so many times, why didn't you answer?"
Jessica turned to Robert and tugged on his sleeve, her eyes brimming with fake tears. "Brother Robert, don't be mad at Eclipse anymore. She didn't mean it. Let's bring her home together."
Robert studied Eclipse in silence, his gaze unreadable. In truth, he had been having people search for Eclipse for days.
He couldn't claim to care for her personally, but her 20% share in the Rocelyn family business was no small matter.
Even though he didn't show it, Robert had been tempted by the thought of her wealth. But despite all his efforts, she had remained out of reach.
Still, his voice dripped with sarcasm as he finally spoke. "You're so worried about her, but she probably doesn't care."
Jessica pouted. "Please don't say that, Brother Robert. Eclipse has been through a lot. She's never had to take care of herself before. Now that Dad has kicked her out, she must be struggling."
Just as Jessica was about to continue, a lazy voice interrupted her. "Miss Eclipse's well-being is none of your concern," said Henry, strolling up with a casual smile. "Miss Eclipse, everyone at Empire Group is waiting for you. Why are you hiding out here?"

Eclipse smiled lightly. "I'm injured. I can't take up my position just yet, President Henry. I hope you understand."
Jessica's face tightened, her eyes flickering with shock.
Henry's name was well-known throughout Star City, and she couldn't believe he was siding with Eclipse.
Trying to keep her composure, Jessica spoke sharply. "President Henry, why is she involved with Empire Group? What's your intention here?"
Jessica was warning Eclipse that Henry's invitation to Empire Group was solely based on her last name, Rocelyn, and not because of who she was as a person.
To everyone in Star City, she was still worthless, like a weed, not worth mentioning.
Eclipse, who had been ignoring the two of them, finally turned her gaze to Jessica and gave a cold smile. "Jessica, are you stupid?"
Tears welled up in Jessica's eyes. "Eclipse, I'm doing this for your own good. Henry is our Rocelyn Family's mortal enemy, he has ulterior motives towards you. Don't be fooled..."
Eclipse's lips curled into a cold smile. "Whether or not President Henry is deceiving me, I will judge for myself. And Jessica, who gave you the confidence to think that after everything that has happened, I would choose to believe you over President Henry, and distance myself from him because of your fake concern?"
She gave Robert Jade a cold glance. "Or is it because you're afraid of that blind and ignorant Jade Family young master by your side?"
Jessica's face froze.
"Or perhaps you're just afraid..."
Eclipse's gaze turned icy, and she smiled teasingly. "I haven't even started yet, and you're already losing your wits. With so much time ahead of us, what kind of state will you be in?"
Jessica's expression froze completely on her face, and even her fingertips trembled slightly.
Robert had been staring at Eclipse without even giving Jessica a glance, but at those words, a look of anger appeared on his handsome face. "Enough, Jessica. If Eclipse wants to degrade herself, why bother worrying about her? She's the kind of person who will bring it upon herself even if she dies outside!"
Jessica lowered her head, concealing the ferocity in her eyes, and cried softly, "But if we let Eclipse go to Empire Group, what if she gets used by someone and brings trouble to the Rocelyn Family and the Jade Family?"
Henry sneered and laughed, "First Miss Rocelyn, you're overestimating your Rocelyn Family and Jade Family."
Jessica stared at Henry with a cold expression and gritted her teeth slightly.
Henry smiled, revealing the dominance and coldness of a business tycoon in an instant. "If I want to destroy the Rocelyn Family and Jade Family, all I need to do is push lightly with my hand, and you'll be done for. Using a little orphan girl... do you think I'm someone to be trifled with?"
He glanced at Robert, who had a dark expression, and a hint of disdain showed in his eyes. "And also, I'm not that stupid Jade Family young master. Save your tricks for him, it's disgusting."
After speaking, he turned around and made an elegant gentleman's gesture, "Please, Miss Eclipse."
Eclipse admired for a moment the ugly faces of Robert and Jessica, then lazily smiled and turned around to leave.
---
Robert's face turned pale with anger and confusion. "Why did Henry invite Eclipse to Empire Group?"
Jessica covered his face with his hand, his voice full of self-blame and sadness, trembling as he spoke, "It's all my fault. Eclipse was kicked out of her home with nothing on her, and in order to climb up and take revenge on us, she can only continue to use her beauty..."
Robert thought of Eclipse's beautiful face and his face twisted in anger. "Damn Eclipse!"
---
The two returned to Empire Group.
Eclipse walked to the front of the car, turned around, and smiled slightly at Henry. "Thank you, President Henry, for today. I'll go back first."
Henry personally opened the car door, smiling charmingly, "Miss Rocelyn, if you need anything in the future, just let me know. For the sake of my own life, please don't run around anymore..."
If anyone dared to bully her on his territory, Alastor would be the first to take action, thought Eclipse as she looked at the warning and coldness in Henry's eyes.
"I have become a thing of the past, and I have no reason to be sad about them," she explained weakly, understanding that Henry was worried that she would be upset because of Robert and Jessica.
The Eclipse who could be hurt by those scumbags was already gone. For the current Eclipse, they were just enemies, nothing more.
Henry's eyes sparkled, and his smile grew wider as he was pleased with Eclipse's sharpness and decisiveness. If she was still attached to Robert and unwilling to take action even after being hurt to this extent, she would not be worthy of Alastor.
How could such a noble and unparalleled man become another man's spare tire? Even if Alastor loved her and didn't mind, he would never allow such a thing to happen.
