章 102: Tree Test [1]
"Now that we have everything settled, it's time for a REAL test," I told svend as I crossed my arms.
It was the next day after I made him Astrid. We just spent last night relaxing and me sharing a few stories about the creatures I've seen.
"Listen, kid, this WILL be the hardest thing you've ever been through, okay? I want you to do your absolute best and then some," I told Svend who looked held one half of his new shield in each hand.
"Yes, Meistari!" He looked hyped up, like I was about to tell him to go and take Odin's other eye.
Obviously, I wasn't gonna let him do that even if he wanted.
"Your test... is to lay your hand on me," I said while pointing at myself.
Svend blinked, looking confused. "Great job. That wasn't confusing at all," Yggdrasil sarcastically commented.
I gave her a quick glare before turning back to Svend. "I might have tried to keep you away before, kid, but this time, I'll actually try to hurt you. All you have to do is lay your hand on me."
Svend looked at me for a few seconds before nodding. "Yes, Meist-"
I immediately turned to my wind element and blasted him away. He rolled on the ground before correcting himself and landing in a crouch.
"Your enemies aren't gonna give you the chance to talk, and you shouldn't give them one either," I said before turning to my fire element and throwing a ball of fire at him.
Svend used one of his shields to swipe away the fireball, only to realise that a trail of fire was quickly following it on the ground. Rolling away just as the fire reached his location, he stood up immediately and held his shields upwards.
"Great idea. Use fire in what is most likely the most flammable location on the Heavenly Body. You're a genius, Zack," Yggdrasil complained, pure sarcasm dripping her voice.
"Yeah, yeah, I get it," I extinguished the fire with a mere
thought looked at Svend as he ran towards me. Raising the two halves of Astrid together to bash me, I turned to my wind element and just let him pass through me. When he was at the other side, I turned to my water element and blasted him in the back, sending him away.
Svend rolled to his feet and looked at me. "I don't see how this is fair, Meistari," he said while regaining hi breath.
I just laughed. "Kid, do you see this mark?" I asked him while motioning to the mark on my chest. "This mark means that, if you actually manage to JUST lay your hand on me, you'd be the strongest human out there," I turned to my metal element and created a sword in each hand. "Now, pick up the pace. I don't want to give you scars this early in your training."
Svend raised Astrid as I charged forward.
