She said yes. She said yes. Dimitri's mouth crushed hers in the biggest, most passionate kiss he'd ever given anyone. His entire body felt alive with a million jolts of electricity. Ariana Wilkins, lost princess of Trenholm, agreed to marry him and be his queen--of Ampero, or so she thought.

She'd be an incredible queen of Merak, if his grand plan succeeded. But that would take work, and time, and getting the right people on his side. The Church of Nosferatu and the City of Ampero were in his corner. He'd need far more allies--and having Ariana by his side would definitely be an asset. A secret weapon.

Even without this ambitious dream, he felt like the luckiest vamp in the world.
