Alex's finger hovered over the dial button as he hesitated. He had been about to call his father for help, but something was holding him back.
He thought about his father's reaction to Sophia, how he had always made it clear that he didn't approve of her. Alex's father would probably be happy to hear that Sophia had been kidnapped.
"No," Alex muttered to himself. "I'm not going to involve him. I mean, he would probably just be happy about it, and want me to give up on Sophia."
He hung up the phone and leaned back in his chair, trying to think of what to do next. He rubbed his temples, feeling a headache coming on. He was so worried about Sophia, and he had no idea how to get her back.
"Who could have done this? Who would be responsible for Sophia's kidnap?" Alex muttered to himself.
