The sun was about to set.
The small town was unusually peaceful that day. Everything seemed extraordinarily calm, with only one police officer having been killed, and that was by a mentally ill person.
At Officer Mark's house, the two brothers, who had just returned from school, were having a brief argument.

Todd looked at the large "game over" letters on the screen and was very angry.

Seeing his younger brother sticking his tongue out behind their father, Todd could only sigh in resignation.
"Fine."
"And you, Ben, you're not allowed to be arrogant!"

"Good, that's my boy."
Mark patted both of his children's heads. "Go back and play some more."
Ben joyfully ran back to his room, while Todd looked at Mark with curiosity.
"Dad, why are you still in your uniform?"
"Because I'm going out. The town needs protection at night too. You need to listen to your mother and don't be picky with your food!"
"Yes, sir!"
Todd saluted and turned to leave.
"Wait!"
Mark picked up an old Bible from the table. "Remember, faith is very important. This is a support for your path forward."
"Uh… but there are so many words I don't understand."
"If you don't understand anything, you can mark it… copy it down. I'll explain it to you when I get back tonight."
Mark's serious face looked more kind as he rubbed his son's head before turning to say goodbye to his wife.
Mark, still feeling a bit unhappy, took the Bible back to his room.
As soon as he returned, he saw Ben staring at the computer screen with a look of fascination.
"What are you doing, Ben?"
"Todd! Come look, I've found someone really interesting."
Todd put down the Bible and walked over curiously. "Who is it?"
As he approached the computer screen, he saw that Ben was video chatting with a strange figure.
The person was in complete darkness, and the most horrifying thing was his face, which was twisted like a vortex.
The person on the video greeted them, "Hey, Ben, is the little handsome guy behind you your brother Todd?"
"Yes, he also likes to play games!"
Seeing that the strange person's first words were compliments, Todd relaxed his guard a bit.
"Who are you?"
"Todd, can't you tell? He's cosplaying as Obito!"
Ben, showing no fear, pointed at the screen. "Look, he's only showing one eye, and the area around his eye is all vortex."

The strange figure spoke in a friendly manner with a smile.

Todd was still resistant, so he quietly leaned toward Ben's ear and said, "I don't like him. Ben, stop chatting with him. Let's play a game instead."
Ben was about to agree when the strange person suddenly spoke.
"Hey, I heard you guys really like playing games? I know a website with a lot of exciting stuff."
Ben was immediately attracted. "Is it a fun game?"
"What kind of fun game? It's even more exciting than games."
"Really? Then send me the link."
Ben was excited, but Todd pulled his brother's arm. "Maybe we should just skip it?"
Before Todd could persuade him further, the strange person had already sent a blue link.
His tone was oddly seductive. "Open it, and you'll enter an exciting world."
"Not yet!"
Todd stopped his brother's hand. "What if it's a virus?"
Even Ben hesitated.
"Impossible. It's just opening a website. There are super exciting videos! There are also many games that only big shots can play!"
This was hitting their soft spot.
"Just open it and take a look."
In the end, Ben clicked on the link.
A black pop-up window immediately covered the entire screen. After buffering for a while, the screen flashed back, but it was only the faces of the two brothers.
"Whew!"
"What's going on? Why did the camera turn on?"
Ben tried to close the link, but the mouse was smoking, and there was no response.
"This is a virus!"
Todd quickly reached to unplug the computer, but just as he raised his hand, he suddenly saw a strange figure standing behind them in the video.
The figure was wearing a Southeast Asian-style printed short-sleeve shirt, and his head was a twisted vortex.
"Don't be in a hurry, kids! The most exciting part is yet to come!"
A distorted, eerie voice whispered in their ears, and then a twisted face suddenly squeezed between them.
"Ah!"
Todd and Ben's legs went weak, and they fell to the ground in fear.
In reality, the figure looked even more terrifying. Except for his right eye, his entire face was deformed and twisted. His nose was stretched out as long as his face, and all on the right side of his face, while his mouth was so twisted it almost wrapped around his face.
"Don't you welcome me? We're going to have a joyful time!"
The Vortex Demon slowly approached. "Don't be afraid. I won't kill you. You'll be the most valuable offerings, the essential source of my faith! My most precious treasures!"
"I'll dismantle you into pieces. I wonder if you'd like to become dolphin people? You'll be exhibits, art of the dark…"
The two children were already terrified, unable to make a sound.
Every time he spoke, an endless fear surged.

The Vortex Demon grabbed both of their necks, and at the moment of contact, Todd and Ben's mental and psychological fear peaked. Their whole bodies were invaded by an evil force, suppressing their instincts, and they didn't dare to resist.
"Welcome to the eternal digital world!"
The Vortex Demon stepped onto the chair as if dragging two dead dogs, ready to enter the computer screen.
But as he stepped onto the desk, something unexpected happened. The Vortex Demon looked down in surprise and saw that there was a chain emitting holy light on the children's ankles.
He followed the chain to its source, which was an open Bible, its pages slowly turning, accompanied by a chant of prayers.
The sound grew louder, and the surrounding scene began to change strangely, as if pulling him into a church.
"Damn it! I'll come back to get you next time!"
The Vortex Demon's twisted face turned darker as he, ignoring the two victims, dashed into the screen.
It was much easier this time, like jumping into a swimming pool, and he entered the virtual world effortlessly.
Just as he thought he had escaped, the chanting voice still echoed in his ears. When he turned around, a figure glowing with holy light was already halfway through the screen, intruding into his domain, with one hand grabbing his leg.
"Damn faith! I hate faith the most!"
The Vortex Demon's twisted face turned black, and he forcefully broke his right leg to escape. After the attack was evaded, he immediately severed all connections, and only then did the chanting finally fade away.
But the Vortex Demon remained shaken.
"I didn't expect this tiny town to be so terrifying!"
