The creature laughed loudly.
His blood-red eyes gleamed, and his mouth was full of sharp, yellowed teeth.
After getting up, he casually pulled a cigar out of his pocket. Taking a deep puff, he grinned, "Why are you here, hiding in Sector 2814, Kryptonian?"
Clark's face remained calm, his eyes unblinking, "You're an alien."
The black-haired, red-eyed creature laughed even harder, blowing out smoke, "Take a look in the mirror, pal. You're an alien too! The last Kryptonian in the universe. Do you have any idea how high the bounty is on your head in the galaxy?"
"So you're here for me," Clark said evenly.
"Is that a surprise? I'm the strongest bounty hunter in the universe, and now I'm going to capture you and cash in."
The creature whistled, and the space motorcycle that had crashed into S.T.A.R. Labs roared back to life, flying out of the building with its engine roaring.
Clark stepped forward, eyes locked on the man, his whole body tense and ready for another fight.
The bounty hunter mounted his bike, pressed a few buttons, and two ray guns popped up from the sides of the motorcycle.
With a mechanical whirring sound, the guns aimed at Soren and began firing beams continuously at him.
The red laser beams shot through the air like bullets, aimed directly at Clark.
But he didn't dodge.
The beams struck his body, and his skin hardened instantly upon contact, like a steel shield.
His invulnerable body remained completely unharmed.
As the bounty hunter revved his motorcycle and started to float upward, Clark rose into the air too, flying up slowly.
Then, with a swift motion, he punched the hunter in the face!
This time, Clark changed his tactics.
Instead of just landing blows, he grabbed the bounty hunter by the collar, lifted him up, and shot straight toward the clouds!
—Since the bounty hunter could heal so quickly, Clark decided to take him all the way into space.
Clark shot through the sky like a rocket, breaking the sound barrier again and again as he sped up.
With incredible force, he flew past the clouds and burst through the atmosphere, his arm muscles bulging as he hurled the bounty hunter deep into the endless void of space.
The bounty hunter was sent flying at great speed, quickly disappearing into the distance.
Clark watched for a moment, making sure the figure had vanished completely before turning back toward Earth.
... It was over.
Clark floated above the beautiful blue planet, gazing down at the peaceful, vast oceans below.
Despite the calm, he felt a sense of worry.
His super hearing wasn't fully developed yet, so from this height, he couldn't hear anything happening on Earth.
He didn't know if Soren had been scared during all the chaos.
He had to get back quickly to check on Soren and make sure he was okay.
Stretching his arms forward, Soren zoomed toward the planet's surface, flying at a speed close to one-tenth the speed of light.
As he re-entered the atmosphere, he activated his bio-electric force field to protect the remaining bits of his clothes.
But just as the tall buildings of Metropolis started to come into focus, something unexpected happened.
The rushing wind behind him grew louder.
Clark turned his head and was shocked to see the bounty hunter, who he had just thrown into space, grinning wickedly as he closed in once again!
"Forgot to tell you, Kryptonian kid, I'm the only immortal bounty hunter in the whole universe," the bounty hunter shouted as he caught up to Soren in mid-air, laughing wildly, "Oh, and I've killed Kryptonians before—"
He raised his thick fist toward Clark.
On his middle finger, he wore a glowing green ring.
...
Meanwhile, down below on the ground, just a few thousand meters away.
Soren had already left the S.T.A.R Labs building before it was hit.
Blending into the panicked crowd, he watched helplessly as Clark flew into space, carrying the strange alien.
At the same time...
In a bulletproof stretch limo nearby, Lex Luthor lowered his car window.
His face twitched with tension and excitement, his eyes filled with an almost insane joy.
He urgently tapped his secretary's arm, "Did you get it? Did you record all of it? Show me now. Send all the camera footage and surveillance straight to my computer."
The area around S.T.A.R Labs was a mess.
Broken glass, cracked streets, and frightened citizens were everywhere.
Helicopters were already buzzing in the sky, while police cars and ambulances rushed in, sirens blaring.
Today, the square had been packed with reporters attending LexCorp's event.
After escaping to safety, the reporters frantically took pictures of the scene and sent them out.
News agencies all over the country were swarming like bees, heading straight for S.T.A.R Labs.
Soren stood still, his hands in his pockets, his backpack slung over his shoulders.
Amidst the chaos of people running around, he quietly looked up at the sky.
If he didn't mistake the famous intergalactic punk motorcycle, then the strong creature fighting Clark was indeed the most famous intergalactic bounty hunter in the comics: Lobo.
Lobo is a character who's both good and bad, doing things based on his mood.
Whoever offers him the most money can make him work for them.
He also has an immortal body, so no matter what his purpose is on Earth, he's a tough opponent to deal with.
Soren anxiously looked up at the sky.
The clouds Clark had broken through were still swirling with a few circles that hadn't disappeared yet.
He tightened his grip on his backpack straps, his knuckles turning white from the pressure.
Why hadn't Clark returned yet? Was he in danger?
Lobo was a tough opponent.
Should he go up to help him?
Just as Soren was debating, a loud explosion sounded from the sky.
The clouds erupted like a herd of stampeding horses, spewing out spore-like white smoke.
