章 3: Intresting Event
After a while of playing cards the star this planet is orbiting began to leave the sky, a Homeworld ship began to come up towards our base. The thrusters could be felt throughout the base.
"Well, I got to go," I said getting up.
"Come on!" I hear Specs say from the floor where we were playing cards, "You can play more, just tell them you're busy or something," Specs says with a wide smile.
"While I would love to continue your thirty game winning streak after the one game I won," I say sarcastically, "However, this is unfortunately required of me," I say hearing boos from the others gems on the floor.
"I know," Specs said laughing, "I just wanted to double check," Specs said tuning back to the other three to keep playing.
"Before I go," I said gaining the attention of everyone in the base, "Ever time Specs shuffles the deck, which is every time except the first time," I say, "She counts the cards so she can always win," I finish before leaving.
Leaving the base the sounds of yelling and thumping echoed of the walls. All in good fun of course.
"Hold on," I hear a voice behind me.
Turning around I see Blast holding something.
"I foresee that you will need this," Blast says handing me an impact grenade.
"Of course you do, now get back in there and blow up Specs," I say.
"Can do!" Blast says with a smile turning around and running inside the base.
Seeing the ship getting closer I knew that the clothes I was wearing now wasn't good enough for a royal meeting.
With a bit of focus and a glow around my previous clothes, a suit appeared on my body. A dark blue suit to match my light blue skin, and a little hole where my gem is.
The ship finally landed with a thump, before the door opened, I put the grenade that Blast gave me in a little pouch on my clothes.
"Lapis Lazuli, I am here to collect you for Blue Diamond," a Holly Blue Agate said from the door that just opened. She was in the diamond salute bowing slightly down.
"It is a honor," I say before walking onto the ship getting a side eye from the Holly Blue Agate.
As I walked onto the ship she began to give me a side eye. Is it because I came out wrong or because I didn't salute back to her? In the ends it doesn't really matter, she's can't get my men shattered so I'm good to act as I am.
As the door started to close I could see Specs monocle rolling out of the base. I wonder how long it'll take her to reform this time.

The music was slow and so was the talking. Fancy gems just talked about fancy things that have to do with different territories and how the rebellion will end soon after the Sapphire gets here.
I just stood around; no gem was willing to talk to me. Was it because of the suit? Everyone else was wearing big puffy dresses and some had large shoulders while my suit was thin.
Was I going to change it? Not a chance, most of them knew who I was. The stubborn old Lapis who couldn't do what they were made to do.
Before any more thoughts could enter my head a homeworld ship came from the sky. It landed and the door opened to reveal the Sapphire we've been waiting for along with her three Ruby guards.
With every gem lined up the Sapphire walked down the line with the three Ruby guards behind her. Even I had to bow, less I make a bad example for my group.
The Sapphire walked into the palanquin and told Blue Diamond something. I was a bit too far away to hear it but whatever it was got Blue Diamond to be happy.
Then from out of nowhere they appeared. Rose Quartz and the renegade Pearl. The poofed two gems immediately upon entry. During this whole thing I just stood watching. I'm all by myself and the only weapon I have is my impact grenade from Blast.
I didn't pact any weapons because I didn't think that the main heads of the rebellion would come out to fight. Make sense though, haven't of many powerful gems rebelling so they must be short on firepower.
As they were fighting the rebels tried to attack the Sapphire. Then one of the Ruby soldiers tried push the Sapphire out of the way.
Then they fused.
And then they fused
They fused, like just like she did.
How long has it been since I've seen someone else fuse?
They were looking at themselves all confused, they are just like her.
Everyone stopped even the rebels. After a second of the two unfused. The Homeworld gems began to surround the rebels causing them to leave, which left the Sapphire a Ruby in a bad position
"How dare you fuse with a member of my court," Blue Diamond said stopping all the other gems
"Forgive me I -" the Ruby tried to explain.
"You will be broken for this!" Blue Diamond then said. And when a Diamond says something it's the truth.
History does try to repeat itself, doesn't it?
But this time I can do something.
Walking into the crowd I stayed silent, not one of them noticing me because they were so focused on Ruby. With good glance I knew the best place to put a grenade.
Taking out the impact grenade from my pouch I was kind of annoyed that when I get back to base, I have to tell Blast that she was right, and I did need it.
With a good roll the grenade landed right where I needed it. It surprised all the gems before it even exploded, not even the Sapphire saw it coming.
As soon as the explosion hit everyone was thrown away. As 'luck' would have it the Ruby and Sapphire went flying off the edge without any other gems following them off.
Unfortunately a gem was able to catch the Sapphire before she could fall. In a few seconds the gem could pull the Sapphire up who was absolutely holding the Ruby. However, accidents happen.
"Whoops," I say slamming my foot on the gems neck.
Because of the explosion the gems body was not in stable condition. So, a good stop poofed them immediately.
For a split second the Sapphire stared at me as she fell along with the Ruby guard.
There's absolutely no chance that those two don't end up joining the rebels. And they're going to be the better for it.
"You there the Lapis," a voice said to me.
Turning around I could see Blue Diamond and her Pearl looking at me.
"Where have the Ruby and Sapphire gone," Blue Diamond's Pearl asked.
"They jumped down the hill," I said while doing the diamond salute.
"Why did you not use water to stop them?" Blue Diamond's Pearl then asked.
"I am not able to control water," I replied back feeling the eyes of the other gems on me, "That is why I was placed where I was placed," I said.
"Ah yes," Blue Diamond said, "I know of you, now you may return to your assignment,"
Of course she knows of me, I was a scratch on the perfect Diamond Authority for eight hundred or so years. But other gems are around so she can't really acknowledge my history.
"My diamond," I said, "May I ask for a ship to return to my base?" I asked.
"Did you not hear me?" Blue Diamond said, "Leave,"
"I understand my diamond," I said leaving jumping down and sliding down the same way the Ruby and Sapphire did.
It wasn't because I wanted to capture them, the base just so happened to be in that direction. I hope the others notice how long I'm gone and come to get me.
I don't even have my ear peace; well you live and learn.
