章 2: The Letter
14th of May 1991, at the orphanage 2 years after they had started selling crops which allowed the people of the church to be able to provide a better environment and food for the children and staff.
Currently, it is around 9 pm and the church is unoccupied because the staff and children are inside the orphanage building. The inside of the orphanage building is decorated with multiple different ornaments and toys for all of the children to play with.
This was due to today being Alana's birthday, and currently, the birthday girl can be seen talking to other children her age. Alana's physical appearance hasn't changed much besides, her now being 4ft4 or 132cm tall, and her body has begun to show slight feminine traits. However, she realized a problem, was that recently she has started to become attractive but not in a normal way.
Her physical appearance had started to become unnaturally attractive quite quickly. However, with no logical explanation, she left it up to the probability of her going into puberty.
At night, when everyone had decided to go to bed. Avery now 5ft1 or 155cm tall, muscular but slightly buff walked to their room. This was due to him probably going through puberty and helping out on the farm and storage, he has grown to be quite physically strong and attractive, which Alana didn't mind.
They entered the room before Alana started undressing and grabbed her white nightgown, while Avery wore shorts.
"I have a question, Avy." He turned to look at her.
"Don't I look too attractive?" Avery raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, extremely beautiful." Alana turned to him.
"No, I mean I look too attractive too quickly no?"
[ ͠°‸ °]??
Avery at this point was popping question marks off his head, as he had no idea where Alana was trying to take this conversation.
"I mean, you're young. Doesn't that mean you'd grow more quickly?" Alana just sighed.
"Forget about it." She wore her nightgown and sat on the bed, she had her arms crossed and faced away from him.
"Hey, don't be upset. What did I say wrong?" He questioned a bit worried, as he didn't understand what was happening.
"Alana, look at me." He asked, he moved behind her and hugged her from behind.
"Avery, in my last life it took a while for me to start developing like this even when I was going through puberty. I'm just worried." Hearing this made Avery sigh in relief, he was happy that it wasn't something major that she was worried about.
"Alana, think about it. We're in new bodies, an older period, a different lifestyle from the future, and we work on a farm. Of course, we'd develop differently."
When Alana heard this and sighed, she had to agree, while they both didn't remember anything about their past life that would affect their relationships with others they still remembered movies, books, shows, and lifestyle.
She turned around and pecked his lips.
"Yeah, maybe I'm too worried. Thank you, dear." With that, she gave another peck to his lips.
"Alright, go tuck yourself in. I'll cut out the fire." Avery told Alana, as she tucked herself in while Avery walked up to a candle on his side of the bed and pinched the fire, causing the room to go black.
He hopped into the bed and hugged Alana.
"Night, Alana."
"Night, Avy."
In a dark space, Alana can be seen still in her nightgown looking around her environment.
"What the fuck is happening?" She questioned, she was about to walk to find out when she suddenly heard light hums.
These hums were slightly high-pitched and carried an intrinsic rhythm to it, if it had been anyone else they may have fallen in love with the woman with just her voice. But not Alana.
Alana followed the hums until she saw a large lake, this lake reflected an invisible moon as the lake itself shone with little stars atop its surface. She also noticed that she had no reflection, but when she crouched to touch the water she realized that there were ripples in the water.
Deciding to look up, she saw a woman in her 20s, in a pale white nightgown, with very similar features to Alana. However, the woman's appearance was even more beautiful and elegant than Alana's, as this said woman hummed and danced like a ballerina on top of the water.
Alana, entranced by the woman, began to walk towards her while walking atop the water.
As she arrived near the woman, she focused on the hums which slowly turned to words.
"Alana, we are not normal. We are beauty and love in physical form. We are the swans, the ghost of the water entrapped by the beauty."
Alana was slowly regaining her thoughts as she listened to the woman.
"Alana, you and me are but one. And we are are not nymphs or sirens."
Alana's eyes widened.
"We are Veelas." Both the woman and Alana spoke at the same time.
"AHH!" Alana screamed, she looked around to see herself sitting upright in her room. Next to her, she sees Avery looking up at her in surprise before sitting upright.
"Alana, are you ok?" He asked while putting a hand on her shoulder. Alana didn't respond, she only looked at him in shock. And then suddenly they heard knocks on their window, so Avery stood up and walked to the window.
Alana, however, stayed sitting on the bed in shock. As Avery opened the window he found something that confused him.
"Hey, Alana." She turned to look at him, and seeing what was in his hands her eyes widened.
"Do you know why we both would get sent a letter by an owl?"
