Victor rubbed his chin thoughtfully "Mana... It's a tricky thing for me to explain. At its core, mana is a form of energy. It can be found everywhere, from within the most insignificant insects to every grain of sand. You can't see it, but it's there, flowing like an invisible current."
Kaleb leaned in, listening intently. "So it's like… a power source?"
Victor nodded. "Yeah, kind of. Take people, for example. I used mana to increase my physical capacity. That's why I was able to keep up with you during our fight."
"So how do you use it?"
Victor scratched at his chin as his gaze drifted to a nearby cup of water. "Think of the body like this cup," he said, holding the cup up.
"Old and dirty?"
"No! Like a container or reservoir for the mana inside. Everything has one, but the size and quality differ. Think of the ability to use that mana like the ability to tilt this cup, or to open the gates of a dam"
