章 71: The Vigil

The Prince of Sidera, The Mad King Donncahd, The Villain of Auberon's Edge. He'd had many titles, many names. Rache knew all of them.

The man had a reputation.

An army at his beck and call.

A kingdom under his command.

And he had taken all of those titles and positions and done unspeakably evil things with them. He was the Mad King who would kill his own men. He was the tyrant who would slaughter the entire army of the people who dared to rebel against him.

He was the monster that would kill anyone in his path, without remorse, without regret. And she was his bride. She was going to die.

She had to run.

To escape.

But she couldn't move. She couldn't get away.

She just kept sitting there at the side of the bed of the prince who saved her. Who'd risked his own life for hers.

It made no sense.
