Caden blinked and slightly nodded his head. 

"Oh…" 

Well, speak about awkwardness. "Well, Harley and I have to go now. So um, we'll talk on the group chat later," I said, hoping to clear the air a little bit, but that didn't seem like it worked. 

I wasn't sure what exactly was going on? Should I not have mentioned Harley and I were having a child? 

"Harley," Harlow called. "Take care of yourself okay?" She nodded at him with a smile and he turned to me. "You better take care of my sister, Sylus. A scrash and you're dead meat!" 

If there was one thing Harlow had in common with Harley, it was making threats on my life. I sighed with a smile and grabbed Harley's hand. 

We left the vault room and headed upstairs to leave the family house, but when we stepped out through the gate, I was met with… Rose.

She rolled her gray eyes at me. "Do you really think you're going to escape this, Sylus?"
