Nate frowned and was about to say something to them, but I stopped him. I never expected them to thank me, but I didn't expect them to still want me dead even though I had helped them.

Such ungrateful bitches...

After Milla said those disgusting words, I pulled Nate to leave the room and saw Alpha Marcus’ expression darken.

I didn't care about him now. I didn't care if he got angry because I left without saying anything to him, which could be counted as disrespectful, and I didn't care if he didn't reprimand Milla. After all, he had always hated me. Though him scolding Hayden before was quite weird.

I really wanted to get away as soon as possible cause Hayden’s gaze kept boring into me. It was like he couldn't take his eyes off me, and it annoyed the hell out of me.

The doctor followed us as we left the ward and walked toward the exit of the Red Claw Pack.
