章 32: On the brink of death

Huo Xinhan pushed open the bedroom door and was surprised to see the lights still on. It was past midnight, was she not asleep yet?

He hurriedly strode in and reached the bed but the figure was not there as he had expected.

Was she in the bathroom?

Huo Xinhan took off his coat before he realized that the wound which had only been half treated had already opened up.

He would treat it later, what was important now was to see Qin Mei and comfort her. She must have been so scared after being kidnapped.

After almost thirty minutes, Huo Xinhan did not see any sign of Qin Mei and frowned.

He immediately stood up and strode into the bathroom.

The scene which met his eyes caused his body to sway lightly.

Qin Mei was lying in the bathtub unconscious with her face completely white and extremely pale, her lips seemed somewhat frozen.
