"What did you say? The deal is signed? Really?" Song Yuanqiao asked three times in quick succession, his voice laced with excitement upon hearing Song Yuwei's words.

"Yes, Dad! Wan Hua has already stamped it, we're just waiting for Song's company seal to make it effective. I'm on my way back to the company now," Song Yuwei said, her voice trembling with excitement as well.

Song Yuanqiao had recovered from his initial surprise and delight; again, his calm voice came through the phone.

"Don't rush! Since it's already signed, there's no difference in a little while. Take the afternoon off, bring it to the company tomorrow. Rest well, you've worked hard!"

"Thank you, Dad!" Song Yuwei would only call Song Yuanqiao 'Dad' in private. Over the years, Song Yuanqiao had actually been good to her. It was just her stepmother who couldn't stand her.

"We're a family, what's there to thank me for?"
